The Space:

Timata Ora is a stunning luxurious 1920 heritage home located in Central New Plymouth. This prime location allows guests to enjoy a five-minute stroll to the CBD, where they can explore arts, culture, shopping, and the award-winning scenic coastal walkway. The property is also a quick walk from Pukekura Park and the Bowl of Brooklands.



Perched high and overlooking the city center, this two-storied landmark villa is designed with guest comfort in mind. It features seven beautifully decorated bedrooms spread across three wings of the home, all equipped with comfortable quality beds and luxurious bed linen. Five bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms, while two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom.

Loved living in New Plymouth’s history

Stone’s throw away from pukekura park, beaches, supermarkets, and restaurants. Central location gives easy access to experiencing New Plymouth to its fullest. Plenty of bathrooms and separate living spaces makes for domestic bliss when living with a large group. Will come back again.

Awesome Timata Ora

It was a wonderful place where we could experience a mansion in the early 20 century without discounting the modern convenience, and where the beach promenade, Pukekura park, even the grocery and takeaways are near. The staffs are also amazing with fast and thoughtful services.

Perfect for a large group

Eight of us, three couples and two singles, spent a week in New Plymouth doing day tramps. Timata Ora was the perfect base. It's a character house, immaculately presented, fully equipped, and its central location meant restaurants and supermarkets were within walking distance. Pak'n'Save is literally two minutes walk away. With five ensuites, there were no morning or evening bottlenecks. All in all it's a fantastic place to stay for a large group.

Annual get away with long time friends

The property was stunning ( better than the photos) and very centrally located. The rooms beautifully appointed and accommodated 12 people/ 4 families very comfortably. The kitchen well equipped with cutlery, platters, crockery…imp with a large group. Lots of space, great outdoor area to catch the autumn sun. Having a BBQ was great, albeit a small one for a large group. From booking to communication to access/ entry to the calibre of accomodation… spot on. A very minor point… which did not mar our positive experience of the place would be to have a sun umbrella. We would definitely return as it catered for everyone’s needs.

The location was perfect for us,nearby supermarket and downtown bars/cafes a short walk.The kitchen/bathroom/ socialising / bedroom facilities were of the same excellent standard.What was truly exceptional were the many character features throughout the home, we enjoyed viewing and appreciating them and felt somewhat honoured to be trusted to have the opportunity.

Wonderful House

Group of 10 friends have weekend away once each year. This accommodation was wonderful, great facilities and very comfortable. Also convenient location in central New Plymouth. All in all, was base for an most enjoyable weekend.
