Lake Superior Beachfront Guesthouse

Four seasons waterfront retreat with beautiful views of Lake Superior, Sleeping Giant, and Caribou island.

Just steps away from the sand and flagstone beach - perfect for summer days or ice fishing. Shallow sandy waters before the rock break wall is perfect for children!

Paddle boards and kayaks on site during summer months!

This large self contained one bedroom loft is off to the side of the main house and has its own private entrance, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Key code entrance for self-check in.

Spiral wood staircase takes you upstairs to an open edge loft with Queen size bed.
Living room has Double size bed.


Large kitchen with views of Lake Superior. Fridge, freezer, stove, tabletop convection oven and dishwasher. Stocked with plates, cutlery, pots and pans, cookware, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and all the basics like a can opener and potato peeler.

Kitchen towels, cloths and soap will be supplied. Small containers of coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper etc will be available.

Sunken living room with decommissioned fireplace and additional bar top seating, double bed, sofa and flatscreen tv, dvd player and Chromecast so you can stream with your Netflix, Prime, Disney+ ect. accounts. There is no cable - only streaming.

Board games, cards and puzzles available in bar top table bottom storage.

Sliding door leads out to balcony with amazing views, bbq and seasonal seating area.


Two piece bathroom ( sink and toilet) separated from open concept stand up shower. Starter supply of paper products, soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner supplied.

A three minute walk up the road to convenience store stocked with cottage essentials, LCBO/Beer Store, laundry-mart, pharmacy and restaurant. Local Smoked Fish and Amethyst Gift Shop walking distance!

This is a non-smoking property.

There may be dogs on property.

The Guesthouse is one of two units on the property and can be booked separately or together.

One last go at iceboat in TBay

Headed to TBay for one last run on the ice with our boats, but Mother Nature had different plans (no wind and then rain). But crib was charming and nice, and the sun rises from the dock and beach were worth the drive. The full moon over the Sleeping Giant was a great welcome when we first entered the place..... Perhaps Mother Nature and work will let me sneak back up for another stay and chance to sail before she takes all the ice away.

Three Night Getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful getaway here! We had great communication with the owner who provided us with all the necessary details. The guesthouse was neat and cozy, with all the essentials provided. It was in a great location right on the waterfront where we enjoyed beautiful sunrises. It was also conveniently located to check out Sleeping Giant Provincial Park or the city of Thunder Bay. I definitely would recommend!

Our stay was delightful and very relaxing. The accommodation was very comfortable. We encountered a small inconvenience the first night around 11:00 and I texted my hostess and she and her husband made sure that the problem was corrected immediately. I greatly appreciated their thoughtfulness. It was unfortunate that the weather was cool and wet because the location is outstanding for enjoying nature and the out of doors.

Beautiful property with amazing views. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I had asked if there was an outdoor fire pit - they provided enough kindling and wood to have a fire on one of the evenings. I couldn't get the TV to work (probably operator error) so the host very kindly popped right over and got it working. While she was there, she asked if there was anything I had forgotten that they could provide. There wasn't, but I appreciated the offer. I brought my dog with me and we had fun exploring the property and the nearby parks along Lake Superior before I headed out cross country skiing. The place was immaculate and very well stocked with all the essentials. All in all, a really nice, relaxing winter get away. I would definitely go back in any season!

We made a stop for a few nights at the guest house. As soon as we walked in, it was evident that this was a going to be a great stay on our Lake Superior Circle tour. Everything was exactly as described, clean and very well equipped. Alexandra and her family were both friendly and helpful. Loved the views both day and night from the balcony. Our dog Nahla loved their two dogs.

Amazing and Romantic

My husband and I visited for a special anniversary and the guest house was exactly what we wanted. We felt like we were the only ones in the world. What a beautiful spot. The pictures they post don't do it justice. I arrived late so I couldn't see the lake because it was dark. It was easy to Text Alexandra to let her know I would arrive late. I slept in the bed right by the balcony which was comfortable, but I awoke to a staggering view of the sun rising over lake Superior. I wish I could have stayed longer or had been able to enjoy this place with my Family. Great kitchen setup, lots of space, games, family and pet friendly, and the view from the balcony is really special. If this is available, I'm really not sure why anyone could book a regular hotel or stay anywhere else near Thunder Bay over staying here. Definitely will stay again.

Completing the Lake Superior Circle Tour

We had a wonderful stay here as we completed the last leg of our Lake Superior Circle tour. The property has amazing views and was super clean. We hiked and drove around the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park which is very close and our hostess had great recommendations for food in the area.

Beautiful road trip destination

The guesthouse is an A frame attached to one side of the main house. But it was so quiet, it was like being secluded. The view is beautiful. Access to the lake was right from the backyard with a protected swim area and lots of sand. Amenities included kayaks, life jackets, chairs, and a fire pit. I wish the weather had been nicer so we could swim. Next time! Inside the house is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen, WI-FI, comfortable furniture, good water pressure, air/heat if needed, gas grill. Toys and games for kids. Dogs welcome. Gas station/convenience store and small restaurant really nearby. But bring a cooler of food and condiments or stock up on the way or in Thunder Bay. You’ll save some $$.
