Great Mountain Getaway

Golden Acres View was a wonderful house for our mountain getaway. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The outdoor space and fenced yard were outstanding for our puppy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. The host provided many little touches that added to our stay. And the view! We would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Lots of room for the family. Lots of outdoor seating - porches, firepit, rocking chairs. We so enjoyed the back porch with the spectacular view of the mountains and enjoyed the daily visits of the birds and hummingbirds to the bird feeders. The property is very close to downtown Waynesville, so very convenient to shopping, restaurants, etc. Also, just a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and so many spots for hiking, tubing, swimming, rafting, etc. Everything we needed was supplied; the house was well equipped for vacationers. Thanks for such a nice stay!

They thought of everything!

We had such an amazing time. We were beyond happy with this house. They really thought of everything. Everything could went when bringing your dogs, the fenced in side yard is huge and my dogs loved it, easily accessible too. Beautiful fire pit. We had breakfast on the top patio each morning with the sunrise, so beautiful, enjoyed the hot tub with a view while the dogs played outside, the host were very responsive. Very very clean and homey. So many nearby activities and waterfalls. Tons of great breweries and restaurants. We would love to stay here again!! :)

What else is there to say...

We stayed there for our 5 years wedding anniversary and took our dogs. We are dog people and I absolutely loved that we didn't have to bring our own crates they were provided. We have bigger dogs so it's hard to find accommodations for them even though they are well behaved. Everything about the house was wonderful and we WILL be booking again!

Lovely spot in the Mountains that has everything!

We were a little hesitate heading to the NC mountains so soon after Helene but locals said "Come on" and we are so glad we did. As soon as we entered the door, it felt just like home. Every amenity you could possibly think of was available. And the VIEW, oh my, the mountains, the colorful trees, the beautiful afternoon sky, amazing. Our dogs had the best time too. This location is exceptional. Waynesville is just 10 min away, a quaint little shopping district and we happened to be there for the Apple Festival which was great, Cherokee about 30 min and Gatlinburg about an hour. Will definitely be back. Loved it!!!

Awesome View in Waynesville

The views from this house are Awesome!!!. It was very accommodating. Everyone was very comfortable. Laid out very nice for someone using a wheelchair. Great space for the dogs. The towns around are very pet freindly. The owners were awesome to communicate with on any questions we may have had. Prior to arriving the owner sent text with different events going in the surroundng area. Would definately stay here again.

WONDERFUL FOR LONG TERM STAY

We stayed for two whole weeks and loved every minute. Best view of any cabin we have used in this area so far and very well stocked for a two week stay. We needed nothing and the property owners were very nice and very communicative which was a nice surprise as most rentals are by companies, not people. So many lovely touches. We are bird watchers and there were bird feeders to use and fill for the deck. Absolutely great for dogs-- our boy loved the fenced yard and we didn't have to bring our crate as they were provided on site. Woudl definately stay here again.

Has it All!

Just finished a week long stay at this amazing property! The hosts were great to deal with and have thought of just about every need you could have. Exceptional property for those vacation with dogs, house has 2 fenced in areas off the lower deck area as well as a dog bath in the garage. Wonderful views from the hot tub and the upper deck overlooking Waynesville valley! Very spacious inside with a great layout, never felt cramped even with a full house. Right in the center of everything- minutes outside of Waynesville center and about 30-40 minutes to everywhere else( Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Sylvia, Dillsboro, etc). Would highly recommend to anyone looking at this property and will be staying here again.

Everything you could ask for and more

This place is amazing! The views are absolutely breathtaking, and being up on the mountainside really makes you feel like you’re surrounded by nature. It’s super close to Waynesville, so we had plenty of options for great restaurants, cute shops, and things to do nearby.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything my mom needed to whip up her favorite meals, which she loved. You can tell the house was put together with a lot of care—it feels so cozy and welcoming. The outdoor spaces were a highlight for us, with a firepit, a jacuzzi, and plenty of spots to sit and take in the scenery.There’s plenty to do inside too, with games like darts, board games, and puzzles. The bedrooms are really spacious, and the downstairs is basically its own little apartment, which is great for extra privacy. The owner was so kind and helped me figure out the indoor fireplace since I’m from Florida and had never used one before.Overall, it’s the perfect spot for a getaway—beautiful, relaxing, and close to everything in Waynesville!

Such a wonderful place in so many ways!

We’ve rented in the Waynesville area for several years now, but we’ve never found a place we wanted to go back to until now! Let me first say that the owner is excellent with communication which is so important. He initially sent me a guide about the home right after I rented it. This guide was very helpful in planning our trip. This home is in an ideal location. It is only a few miles outside of Waynesville, and is easy to get to. We’re from Florida and some of the mountain roads up in the area can be downright narrow and scary. Not with this home. You will be on two lane lined road just about to the driveway. Plus it’s a couple minutes to the Smoky Mountain Expressway for trips to other NC towns. The entrance to the Blue ridge Parkway is very close by as well. Here were our favorite parts of our stay. The VIEW! For such an easy access the view from the upper and lower decks is incredible far mountain views . Each night we would sit out on the upper deck by the propane fire pit and watch the ever changing canvas of the mountains and the sky. The propane firepit was especially great because there were a few nights it was chilly. Having the entire firepit area covered is also a big plus that we haven’t always found in other rentals. Even on rainy days we were able to sit outside. The hot tub on the first level was wonderful. We golfed and hiked a good bit and it felt good to soak after an active day. There is an entire lower level but it was just my husband and I so we didn’t use this area but it was very large with a bedroom and bath.The owners bedroom was large. There was a dresser to store some clothes and a hanger bar as well. The bed was very comfortable and my husband who has back problems enjoyed a good nights rest. The owners bathroom is good and I liked having a stand alone shower vs a tub/shower. Having two sinks in the vanity was also a big plus. In summary, we are already booked for next year and can’t wait to return.

AMAZING IN EVERY WAY!!!

I stayed at this incredible vacation house for 10 days with family, friends and our dogs. The owners made it so special by adding several special touches that weren’t required but made all the difference in the world such as having plenty of wood available chopped in all different sizes, Starter logs, complementary snacks, extra blankets for the dogs, doggy spa, multiple fireplaces, a large deluxe, hot tub that even had changing color, lights and different jets, and a waterfall. The yard for the dog is absolutely huge! The views from the mountains from the upper and lower porches are divine. The owners provided multiple hanging, swinging wooden benches, hammock,m chairs, space heaters, games, horse shoes and a fire table. It’s just awesome! I 100% recommend this property.

You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I had such a lovely time staying at this property. The owners were very responsive and even checked in on us mid-week to see if we needed anything. You can tell they have put a lot of thought and effort into the comfort of their guests – the two and the four-legged kind. The fenced in yard is great for playing ball! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the view was just spectacular. The garage was a great bonus too. It allowed us to securely store our motorcycle on the days we were not out riding. (We trailered the bike and there was plenty of room for both our SUV and trailer.) While you will feel tucked away from civilization, you are only 10 minutes from a grocery store, a restaurant or an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will definitely be back!

Great relaxing stay.

I mean you can't beat that view. We spent a lot of time on the back porch. Our pup loved the fenced in yard. Really appreciated all the little extras for guests. And the hot tub was perfect. We very much enjoyed how close it was to everything but had a secluded feel.
