Please note: As of 2022 the property is under new management, so any of the older reviews of the current management won't apply. We will do our best to provide the same level of excellence!

This location truly is a dream. A 5 bedroom home offering stunning ocean views right at your back doorstep. When the tide is low, the red sands and wide open skies will capture your heart.

With five bedrooms (two king, two queen, two double), four bathrooms, and three living areas, the house accommodates up to 10 people. It is a perfect spot for family gatherings or groups of friends to spend quality time together.

The gourmet kitchen is built around a large centre island and features a counter-top gas cooking surface with side grill, built-in Wolf convection oven and a second convection/microwave unit. Fully equipped by people who love to cook at home, aspiring chefs will find everything that they wish for. The dining room table provides a wide panorama of the ever-changing tides.

High vaulted ceilings and skylights provide an open, airy, and illuminated summer living area. Enjoy the movement room with weights and yoga mats as you look out onto the ocean. For sun lovers, the tiered cedar decks with lounge chairs provide a sweet retreat.

Leave the cool porch and find seating elsewhere in the house: a bright front sitting room with a 12 ft wide patio-door and spectacular panoramic view, a quiet cozy evening sitting area in front of the wood burning fireplace and a separate TV room with large plasma flat screen unit and home theatre sound system.

The house is very spacious and the kitchen is well stocked with every item you need for cooking family meals.The view overlooking the water is wonderful.Laura was very responsive for any questions that we had.We would book the house again the next time we travel to PEI.

Red House

The property was excellent. It was just as described and the family had a wonderful time exploring the beach and seeing the seals sunning themselves on the sandbars each morning. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful views

Beautiful location, swimming, kayaking, walking the red sands when the tide was out. Large table for family dinners and plenty of seating in the house.

Perfect accommodation for our family reunion!

Our family and extended family members had a trip to remember at this lovely home! Every thing that we needed or could have wanted was provided. Laura the owner was quick and responsive to our requests. The beach below was wonderful for long, lovely sun-filled walks. We highly recommend staying at this large and lovely home! We'll be back!

Incredible place

The house, the beach, both were beautiful. We were 10 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. We never felt crowded in this large house. The kitchen is very well equipped. The only minor inconvenience was that we had to bring a folding table and 4 folding chairs to accomodate our big family at meal times but it was worth it due to the comfort of the house, the view and the access to the beach. We are looking forward to visit again next year.

Perfect

We very much enjoyed our stay. We had three families with children ranging from 6-14. Everyone had their own space and their was plenty of areas to accommodate all activities. Lots of things for the kids to do and explore. The welcome binder had lots of information that was very helpful. This is our favorite part of PEI, we made lots of memories!! Thank you Laura.

August-September 2023

We stayed the last week of August 2023. We were a group of 6 adults, plus 2 young children. The cottage is older, but well maintained. There are plenty of spaces to enjoy with or without other guests. The kids especially enjoyed the movement room, which doubled as their play area. The outdoor area has plenty of greenspace for the kids to run around and play ball. The views are stunning, anytime of day. Most days there were seals sunbathing on the nearby sandbar. And most afternoons, during lowtide, we'd walk the entire Bay. At the end of our stay we had quite the collection of shells. We frequented Souris, Saint Peter's Bay, Montague, Georgetown, all within a 30 min drive or so. While we walked many beaches, Bothwell was our favorite; georgeous white sands and not as busy as others. Overall, it was a great stay! I would not hesitate to recommend the area/cottage to anyone considering a trip to PEI!

Absolutely perfect

We are a large family visiting from the Atlantic Bubble. The location is stunning, the views are great. The house is large with lots of areas to get away if you want some space. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is large and well equipped, there is a huge shower when you come in the front entry which is great to bring the kids up from the beach and in the front door, right into the shower. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Go clam digging as well, lots of clams!!! Will return again. Thanks Jovette for everything, flour included 😁 Kim and family

GORGEOUS!

Jovette was great to deal with. This house and property are beautiful. Four lifelong friends spent an extended weekend here and it was lovely. House is stocked with everything you could need.. I hope to revisit again.

Beautiful location

We just loved our days here. Jovette was so attentive to making sure everything was good. The house is so comfortable and cozy and the views were spectacular! We wished that we had planned for a longer stay as 4 days went by too quickly. No question this is a 5 star location!!

Peace of heaven on Howe Bay

Great vacation!

We loved our stay at your house!The location was great: long walks on the sand dunes with our dogs, canoe trips exploring the bay, watching the landscape change with the tide. The scenery was very peacefull even thought we were there during the passage of Dorian. Jovette and Lawrence were amazing hosts and made shure that we had everything that we needed, even a generator when we loss power due to Dorian’s passage! 😎

A Truly Magical Place!

I'm not sure my review can adequately describe how incredible this house rental is. There were two families total on our trip and we had four adults and 5 children (ages 14, 9, 6 and two). The house accommodated us so well and provided a wonderful home base for our week. My family travels regularly and we always rent through home away. I'm pretty picky about the places we rent and spend days researching potential houses. I read the reviews before renting this house and knew that previous renters absolutely loved it, so I went in with high expectations. I have to say that this place absolutely exceeded my expectations. The location is incredible. We all loved kayaking in the bay, exploring the vast sand bars, and playing in the large yard. We could not have asked for a better location for our families. But, it wasn't just the location that was amazing. The house was beyond anything we could have dreamed of. It was SO clean and spacious and the kitchen was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. We all love to cook and eat, so we really put it to use each night. I miss the espresso maker we had at our disposal each day too! If you're looking for a rental in PEI, you really don't need to look at any other locations. This house is the best you'll find on the island, and Jovette and Lawrence are incredible hosts.

Beautiful home by the sea

This home was amazing and the owner was very kind and helpful. The views of the ocean were beautiful. The home was spacious with many personal touches and creative comfortable decorating. Being a gardener and orchid lover I really appreciated the live plants and orchids in the home. This property was much bigger than the two of us needed and would accommodate a much larger group very nicely. Being so large it was chilly when we arrived but we built a nice fire and relaxed under the handmaid throws and just enjoyed the views.
