Tucked away in the charming hamlet that is Union Pier, we welcome you to Gowdy Getaway! This adorable two-bedroom, one bathroom home is perfect for the smaller family or group. Completely updated inside, Gowdy Getaway has everything you need for your next vacation! Just a short walk to beautiful and private Gowdy Shores beach as well as downtown Union Pier.

Kick back and have your morning coffee in the cozy screened-in porch while listening to the sounds of nature. Family room has flat screen TV and dining for up to six. Bedroom #1 is a queen bed and bedroom #2 has two twin beds. Fully stocked kitchen as well. All the amenities you would expect in a quality rental including internet, cable, central heat/air, washer/dryer, gas grill, and more.

Great Weekend Away!

My husband and I enjoyed our quick weekend away in Union Pier. We loved the screened in porch and location - quiet neighborhood. We’d love to come back again soon!

Cute cottage with easy Lake Michigan beach access

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage, we spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. We also appreciated the very convenient Lake Michigan beach access which was a short walk from the cottage.

This place is a gem!

We were so excited to find a great place that didn’t require a full weeks rental. This place was newly updated beautifully. It was super clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes and the private beach was really nice and less crowded than public beaches, making it easier to keep an eye on your kiddos. It was walkable to the bakery and gelato shop in Union Pier, which was great too. The screened in patio was really nice and a must bc with all the trees around there were bugs, but this way you could enjoy being outside. The area is quiet and peaceful. Captain Mikes fun park and Galien river park were great adventures for kids when they needed a break from the beach. The host was great to communicate with and we would stay again.

Great choice

Great house, good size for family with two small kids. Neighborhood is nice and close to beach - easy drive to New Buffalo.

Simple but everything we needed

This home was perfect for a long weekend with my husband and two college age daughters. Traditional and modern come together in this home. The beds, pillows and linens were super comfortable! All of the furniture and light fixtures seemed brand new. As well as the towels and wash cloths. The area is great with a short walk to the beach or the Farmer’s market. You’re a short drive to downtown New Buffalo. We would definitely come back to stay here again!

Great cottage with a fantastic beach

The house was great. It has everything you could need. But the beach, the beach was spectacular. If you haven’t ever experienced an association/private beach in union pier, it’s a wonderful experience. Crowds are much less the people are great. The beach is a very short walk and is great. Apart from dinners out; we didn’t even do anything else that harbor county has to offer because all my kids wanted to do was sit and play on the beach and in the water. I was more than happy to oblige!
