Walking distance to Forks and Dollar Pools and, a 30 mins drive to Baddeck, Inverness, and Cheticamp. This place is perfect if you’re looking to catch the sunrise over the river, spend the days on any of the 4 beaches here in Margaree or, head into the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

This house sits on a 76-acre property with plenty of trails to enjoy on your morning walk. The property is managed by a neighboring tour company and campground; Live Life In Tents. Guests staying at this property interested in a kayak, paddleboard, or river tube, or guided hiking tours receive a 10% discount. Please message us and we will gladly accommodate!

A great stay in Margaree Forks

We were in the area for a wedding and the Cameron House was a perfect base for our long weekend in the area. The house was very clean and well organized, and communication was great. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot along the Cabot Trail

House was great, lots of room and comfy. Had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. Sitting with morning coffee overlooking the Margaree was neat to watch everyone coming out to fly fish. Beautiful location along the Cabot trail with lots of scenic spot and restaurants up the west side. Location was perfect for what we had planned to do on the island.

Great location and view

We had a lovely stay at Cameron House with friends (2 other couples). It was right at the forks, a prime location for the fishers in our group. The view of the river, hills and valley is spectacular! The kitchen was well equipped. A very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Perfect location for Cape Brenton Stay

The Live Life house was exactly what we wanted for our brief stay in Cape Brenton. The location was perfect to head out first thing to go hiking at the national park and explore this beautiful area. The house was super clean, and it was great having a full kitchen, washer/dryer and two bathrooms! Our host was great - always available to answer questions. And you'll never believe it, but as we drove down the driveway on our way out one morning.....there was a small moose just laying in the grass to say hello and have a good day! It was amazing!

Ideal spot in the Margaree

Cameron House is perfectly and idyllically situated in Margaree Forks and for us it was the perfect location for ceilidhs in Mabou, beach days at Inverness and Chimney Corner, and hiking in CB Highlands National Park. Lee is an attentive host and the property has been renovated to a very good standard. I would definitely stay here again.

Margaree Marvellous

Lovely spacious living area. Nicely laid out floor plan, 3 bedrooms at end of hallway. Well-appointed kitchen with Keurig and Nespresso machines, all cooking necessities such as pots and pans, plastic wrap, salt pepper oil. Comfortable beds and crisp cotton bedding very nice. Smallish rooms no closets no drawers to store clothes. There is a clothes rack with hangers, but no suitcase bench, basically put your suitcase on the floor and live out of it. Plenty of towels. No curtains or shades, no AC, house gets very warm on hot summer days. Electric fans provided. This house had everything we needed and we were quite comfortable here. 4-star rating because a bit pricey considering limited clothing storage and no A/C.

Très belle propriété confortable et accueillante

Lee a été adorable et très accueillant. Prendre son café en regardant le paysage brumeux le matin est un must. Nous étions six et très confortables.

I am the owner/operator of a local tour company that manages this property called Live Life In Tents. We have a small campground on the neighboring property and, offer daily kayak, paddleboard, river tubing, and hiking tours. I grew up in Margaree and moved home to start a business after many years of working abroad. I'm happy to help with answering any questions you have regarding this property or Cape Breton Island. This property is an amazing home base for any traveler whether you're coming to Cape Breton to hike, paddle, bike, golf, or fish. It is centrally located to many of the main villages and golf courses on the island and only 10 mins drive from some of the best beaches you'll get in Nova Scotia.

All guests who stay at this property get access and discounts to all of the daily tours that we offer. We also have a small shop selling and renting camping goods. We also host a series of concerts and BBQs during the July/Aug months which is located just next door to this property.
