Kakariki by the Sea

Come & enjoy a holiday in this quiet, sundrenched bach.
Everything you need is within walking distance. 2 minute, flat walk to the end of the street and you're at the beautiful Ngunguru estuary. Here you can launch your boat or just relax under the big Pohutakawa tree while the kids explore the rockpools or swing under the tree.
Only 800 metres to the local dairy, takeaways and cafe.

A few mins drive from some of the most stunning beaches in NZ, Matapouri, Whale Bay and Sandy Bay. World class fishing, surfing and diving at your doorstep. Launch your boat and explore Goat island and the Poor Knights.

Large 2 story, 2 bedroom self contained unit, attached to the main house of the owners but separated by a garage. Full size kitchen with dishwasher, oven, stove, fridge.

Plenty of off street parking

*The property is on tank water so we kindly ask that you conserve water as much as possible. We have bore water for cleaning boats and gear.

    Great place and hosts. There was only one toilet roll for our 2 night stay. Tea and coffee supplies were minimal with no milk.

    Clean and spacious and everything we needed. The view associated with the property online was not taken from the property- so we thought it was closer to the beach. We did bump our heads on the bunk beads in the night :-( Otherwise we were comfy.

    Great location loads of space

    We had a great few days here with Mark and Kirsty. There were only 2 of us but there is plenty of room for up to 6. Loads of space and a plus point ….no TV. Was well kitted out and had most things we needed. Good location close to some of the best beaches you will find and also peace and quiet .

    Great stay at this property

    Great location close to the water, local dairy and take always, very clean and tidy. Plenty of room for everyone and well equipped kitchen. Lovely owners, very pleasant to deal with and check in and out process really easy too. Highly recommend!

    Spacious and Relaxing

    Lovely spacious, tidy and clean home with relaxing atmosphere and very cool decor, big kitchen and lounge area. Huge bathroom. Great spot, just a 2 minute walk to the water, short walk to the shops where there is a dairy, pizza shop and Cafe. Hosts were super friendly and nice. No TV, but quite enjoyed the peace and quiet for a change. Absolutely loved our stay. :)
