Urmilla Cottage

Very beautiful 4 season beach/lakefront Cottage. A newly renovated, fully equipped and winterized waterfront cottage that has everything to make your vacation as exciting and memorable as it can be. The building has a bright, immaculate and open concept layout and a full spacious kitchen.The cottage sits on a quiet 1 acre outdoor land space. It is a unique cottage that has an excellent Lake view of the nearby Golden Lake.
The space
During the summer months enjoy the private decks, dock & beach, gradual sandy entry and shallower waters which are great for kids. Available Kayaks, canoe, 5 person paddle boat , 14ft aluminum boat and paddle board and lots of life jackets to explore the area and enjoy the peace and serenity of Golden Lake. Great swimming, hiking, fishing and so much more awaits!

In the winter months come and enjoy the warmth of radiant heat and the fireplace the coziness of the cottage over looking the Beautiful Golden Lake or venture out to explore the outdoors! We get lots of snow in this area with nearby trails for snow shoeing & snowmobiling; enjoy ice skating. Venture over to the Opeongo Hills Nordic Center for a great day of cross country skiing (15 min drive) or a day trip to Calabogie Peaks Ski hill for downhill skiing/snowboarding (1hr drive) or try your luck at ice fishing right on your doorstep and snowmobiling trails two minutes away from the cottage.

This newly built private sauna. It is perfect for 8 persons to escape from the city and truly relax by the lake. The wood fire sauna is made of knotty red cedar and it is the perfect addition to a relaxing getaway.

it was perfect for a family vacation. (including grandparents). Lots of space in the house for cooking, eating, playing and movie nights - large deck outside for meals along with beach area. Well equiped kitchen and all, clean and new.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting Debbie and their group at Urmilla Cottage. They were respectful, easy to communicate with, and left the space extremely clean and tidy — the cleaning team even commented on how great everything looked. They followed all the house rules and treated the cottage with care, just like it was their own. I truly appreciate guests like this and would welcome them back anytime. Highly recommended to any future hosts!

Property is beautiful. Looks exactly like in pictures. Beautiful dock with ladder to access water or walk in access from beach. Water is gorgeous. Enjoyed coffee on the deck taking in the view every morning and enjoyed playing cornhole every evening. Didn't get around to enjoying the firepit or sauna this time but hope to get a chance to next time. Inside is spacious and well equipped. Urmilla is a great host. Had a few minor hiccups but Urmilla was super responsive and things were dealt with very quickly. Highly recommend.

Urmilla's cottage was exceptional. This was our 2nd year booking it and we have booked it again for 2027. It has all the amenities of a home. Everything was spotless and well thought out. The pictures are true and represent how beautiful it really is. The host was more than helpful, no matter what time you called. If you are a golfer which we are, it is located very close to two beautiful golf courses .I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Urmillas's cottage.
