LAKESIDE COTTAGE

Our 2 bedroom cottageon the lake is set up for a great weekend away or short stay.
Sit back & relax on the deck while enjoying the view of the lake or have some fun swimming, fishing, kayaking or boating on the water.
For land activities there's dirt bike & mountain bike tracks near by as well as 4WD tracks.
There are 4 kayaks at the house for your use, 2 adult & 2 junior (byo life jackets & towels for swimming).
The house is located in Ryans Cove so please check water levels before your stay as the water level does vary & the cove can loose water due to it being a lake for irrigation & drinking water for local farmers & communities.
All linen provided (bedding & bath towels).
The house is down the back of a large slopped block with direct access to the lake (please note that there is no back fence so may not be suitable for small children). There is plenty of room in the front yard for parking cars & trailers.
All shopping amenities, cafes & pubs are within a 10 minute drive located in Heyfield or Maffra is around 20 minutes.
There is a keysafe onsite for easy access.

Peaceful location - just what we needed

Perfect for a short family getaway

The property had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The kayaks were a hit with my husband and teenagers. Our host, Kate, was very accommodating with our requests. Overall, a great stay and just what we needed for that time between Christmas and the new year.

Cosy cottage lake view

The cottage is clean with all the amenities you need. The outdoor pergola area was relaxing and comfy. I loved having my coffee and meals by the patio table and stool enjoying the lake views and serentiy. Kate was a great host, prompt friendly communication.

The best views, perfect spot for some rest and relaxation

Stunning views over the lake. A compact, well appointed, super clean house with a fantastic, spacious deck area. We used the kayaks every day and the location is a good starting point for adventures in the surrounding area.

Easter Break

We had such a great time, the house was perfect. It had everything you could possibly want, the kids went kayaking in the lake. We toasted marshmallows on the fire and the kitchen was full of equipment. One night week cooked home made Gnocchi and had a BBQ on the other. We will definitely be back.

A lovely setting, in a beautiful location. So nice to sit on the deck and overlook the lake. Excellent communication from Kate, the host. This property was one of the best set up and supplied with necessities (and more) that I have stayed in. Very enjoyable!

Summer holiday.

We had a great time. Fresh, clean and tidy small home with everything you will need, including a great covered verandah with views over the lake. Swimming and kayaking at the bottom of the garden and High Country 4-wheel driving, country towns and pubs and beaches all within easy driving distance.

We had a lovely break at this property. It was everything as described. The only feedback would be to provide heating on the decking area which is enclosed and is a great living area. The fire pit and kayaking was a hit and would definitely recommend. Kate was a great host. Very responsive to any questions.

Very accomodating and clean

We recently stayed at Coongulla and were blown away by the service and the cleanliness. Kate was so accomodating with all my questions and made the process very smooth. The house was in immaculate condition and all the essentials were supplied plus extras! Even down to the fire pit already being loaded with kindling ready to go. We can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely Amazing!

We were blown away with our stay! What an incredible view to wake up to every day and such easy access to the lake to take the kayaks for a spin! Kate's place was spotless and all essentials were supplied plus more. Kate was incredibly accommodating and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Days flew by making use of the Board games, kayaks, sports equipment, outdoor movie area and fire pit. Couldn't ask for more!

Clean, Almost Brand New Facility, Great Location

This is one of the best places we stayed so far in Australia. View from the alfresco is superb, serene. You can have peaceful, quiet relax time overlooking the lake Hosts have spent well to make this place a great one. 2 fridges, 2 TV's, BBQ, 2+2 adults/kids Kayaks, lots of board games, puzzles... plenty to enjoy and spend your time.. Everything was clean.. even the bathroom was so nice.. All amenities are near new. Some kitchen utensils are still with original tags. Kate is a superhost, always quick to respond to any query. We requested a latecheck-out till 2pm and she generously offered us till 5pm. Thanks Kate. Time well spent.. wanted to go back surely..
