A Heartbreaking Disappointment for a Final Family TripI rented a vacation home for my brother and his family—likely their last trip together, as he is in the final stages of cirrhosis and kidney disease. I had hoped to give them a peaceful, comfortable space to create lasting memories. Instead, what awaited them was a house in unacceptable condition.- The carpets were heavily stained and unsanitary.- Dishes had to be washed before use, as they were left dirty in the cabinets.- Cobwebs hung in corners and ceilings, giving the home a neglected feel.- The stovetop burners were blackened and grimy.- The outdoor gas grill was so filthy it couldn’t be used at all.This was not just a vacation—it was a final opportunity for a family to be together in comfort and dignity. The condition of the home added unnecessary stress and sadness to what should have been a time of peace and connection. I’m deeply disappointed and heartbroken that this experience fell so short of what they deserved.

Great for pets

We enjoyed our stay. If I was going to stay somewhere without bringing our pets along I would choose somewhere more updated with nicer finishes. It was very comfortable for our dogs and kids though. The kids loved the pool table, the broken pinball machine is a tease for the kids so that should be removed as they were super disappointed to see it then realize they couldn’t play it. The fenced in backyard was great for the dogs, the AC was lovely, the ceiling fan wasn’t able to be turned on and the upstairs really needed that fan on.The string lights in the front yard were so cute and the grounds were really beautiful. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Great stay! Only input is that some of the lights/fans/switches throughout the house were a little confusing. Never found how to turn the ceiling fan/light on the in the main room/vaulted ceiling. A lot of light switches seemed to do nothing.

Spring Break

Communication.

We had an issue that wasn’t resolved. No one would return emails or answer the phone. The heater for the main house went out after about 2 hours of checking in. I reached out to the Evolve Management but to no avail. No return on emails or they just flat out don’t answer the phone. I thought maybe yesterday they would have reached out but still nothing. The lows were in the 20s at night so it made for a rough time.

Misleading and needs maintenance

We decided to spend Thanksgiving here because my husband was hunting the following week in a nearby unit. I arrived on Wednesday evening with the two littles and we were exhausted so I didn’t pay much attention. When we were getting in bed, the sheets had male hair all in them so I striped the bed and had to wash the sheets. The next morning when the light hit the interior, it was filthy. I spent two hours on Thanksgiving morning cleaning up dog hair, pills, debris from the floor but the most alarming thing were the mouse droppings all over the floors, carpet (urine stained from pets) and even in the cabinets. I had to wash all the dishes we planned to cook with because I was so uncomfortable at this point. I would have called but honestly after I cleaned EVERYTHING, it wasn’t worth bothering people over the holidays. The furniture is very cheap - we would t let the kids sleep on the top bunks because they were wobbly and the table and recliner upstairs were broken. Missing remote led to an app download. Finally, the exterior is very poorly maintained. There is a shatter green house in the backyard and it is hardly an area to let kids go play. For the price, 100% book elsewhere.

Nice, cozy getaway

The cabin was nice. There are instructions to help you if you need them. If you are a coffee drinker, the pot is a small 6-cup but they had plenty of coffee filters. The couches are really comfortable, the table is a great size for family to sit and eat. The bunk beds upstairs are extremely comfy but the bedroom down stairs near the bathroom needs a new mattress. For us, it was too soft & dipped in the middle too much. But might be good for others. 😊The kitchen was well equipped, there were plenty of spices, cookware, dishes, cups, silverware, etc… We absolutely loved that!

Why only three stars

For the three stars - clean, well stocked with towels and linens. Very comfortable beds. Awesome pool table. Why not five stars - although previous reviews mention coffee pot is small, nothing was done about it. The cabin sleeps eight, yet the coffee pot only holds five tiny cups. The kitchen had cheap pans and old utensils. Not enough supplies, again, for eight people. Appliances are old and dirty. Backyard desperately needs cleaning (couldn’t use it). The screen door upstairs was broken, so we were unable to let fresh air in. Deck is in need of repair. The grill didn’t have a cover and was filthy. There was no Kleenex and the paper towels were rough (especially for nose blowing). This could be an adorable place to stay, if only the owners would read reviews and take care of their guests’ needs.

Will come back again!

Our party of 8 had everything that was needed for a wonderful weekend. Everyone had enough room to eat, sit, sleep, chat and play. The upstairs has bunk beds that was a must for our children as well as the stairs to say the least. The children loved the cabin as well as the outdoors. The bathroom essentials shampoo/conditioner/soap was a nice surprise. The towels were white and clean. The beds were clean and comfortable. The whole home had everything we needed from forks to dishes to mixing bowls to wine glasses. The outdoor fire pit area could use some sitting chairs but otherwise it was just perfect. Will stay there again.

Disappointed

The home is "cozy", but we found it to be very unprepared for our arrival for our party of 6. Check in process is simple and went fine. Home is in need of improvements and pictures and description do not match ...beware!!! Backyard is a mess and is in desperate need to be cleaned up. Wrap around deck is nice, but there was only 2 chairs outside. I had to call and ask about other chairs (which they did have as they were in the locked garage). Listing stated there was 2 fire pits when there was only one and it was in the backyard...backyard was overgrown, and we had no desire to sit back there in weeds and such. Property manager was responsive and always got back to me and they did drop off another fire pit. The refrigerator was warm upon our arrival and took hours to cool. We had to put the majority of our food in the freezer until the refrigerator was at a proper temperature. Kitchen is well stocked, except bring your own coffee maker. Coffee maker on site is for 5 cups...baby cups I guess. I was tempted to head to Walmart and buy and real coffeepot for $10 and just leave it. Overall our group just felt the house didn't match description, cost or photos online. House could of also been put together upon our arrival (refrigerator cooled and chairs out). I just would of made the house more inviting upon our arrival. Our group of 6 made the best out of the weekend, but next time we would look elsewhere.

Great stay!

My family rented 3 cabins for our Christmas celebration this year. We had so much fun and all 3 cabins were perfect for our stay! This home has a great kid space and a quintessential log cabin in the woods feel. Very well stocked and clean.

Cute small home

We had a great stay! This house is perfect on the main road just before the off road trails. If you have any off road toys you will love this spot. I wish there was more outdoor living area. The backyard was over grown so we couldn’t enjoy it like we wish we would have and the furniture didn’t any cushion. Other then that we enjoyed our stay.

Munds Park Cabin

We had a wonderful stay. Easy to find. It met our needs. Snow shovel would have been nice, but we survived. We would recommend this place for anytime.
