A relaxing luxury oasis, family-friendly pool, 5 mins to beach + 1pm checkout!

Casbah is a fully renovated 2 storey home perfect for families with children to share in comfort. Conveniently located within a 200m walk to the beach and local pub, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area inc coastal walks, water sports and fishing at nearby Lake Macquarie.

It is a spacious family-friendly home with all the luxuries inc super comfy beds and furniture, gourmet kitchen, multiple living areas, a swimming pool (unheated so avail Oct-April), games/bunks room, pool table, fire pit, air con and gas fireplace so you can enjoy your stay all year round...

Casbah has been designed to host families and ideally sleeps 6 adults and 6 children or 8 adults and 4 children but a max of 12 guests is allowed at the property. (Just to clarify this - we have 2 sets of bunks that are meant for children/teens only due to weight restrictions). Please see below for detailed bed configurations.

Upstairs there is 1x king bedroom with ensuite, 1 x king bedroom, gourmet kitchen, dining and living area and 1.5 bathrooms (full bathroom inc bath). Large bifold doors lead out from the kitchen to a large covered deck overlooking the backyard and pool area.

Downstairs there is 1 x super king bedroom with lounge and TV, 1 x bathroom, laundry, kitchenette area (inc 2nd fridge), a games/bunk room with 2 x king single bunks together with 2 x king single beds, pool table, lounge and large Smart TV. Games, puzzles and books are provided in the games room which leads out to the shaded outdoor dining area, fire pit and pool.
We also have a porta-cot, highchair and safety gate available for younger family members.
There is also a great kids playground only a few houses down the street

There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway and plenty of street parking. No need to get in your car after you arrive as beaches, local pub, cafes and two small supermarkets are all within easy walking distance

Clean and beautiful throughout (dream home really), well stocked from kitchen to toiletries to pool equipment, host was easy to communicate with, check-in details were easy to follow, location was close to everything including beach and cafes, and the late check out was a bonus, allowing us more time to enjoy the home. We all had such a wonderful time and couldn't stop talking about how everything was accommodated, with the smallest of details like children's plates and cups, tupperware, games, beach hats, calico bags and I could keep going. An incredibly thoughtful host. A big thank you.

Weekend Getaway

A gorgeous property which very comfortably accommodated our group. Sally’s attention to detail is impressive, and the property had everything we needed. The close proximity to Caves Coastal Bar, the beach and cafe, made it a great option for our weekend away.

Perfect location, awesome place.

Location was perfect for us, cars didn't move the whole time we were there. Local cafes and takeaway was great. IGA is really only to grab a thing or two. Coles in Swansea would be best bet to go for more groceries if you are planning on cooking. Place is very spacious and clean with ample space for 6 of us. Pool was lovely and Sally was easy to communicate with and was fast to reply. All in all would highly recommend and would consider it for future weekends.

This home exceeded expectations. The owners had considered every little detail to make this the perfect beach home & the location is perfect! Fantastic Home

My siblings and I had an incredible stay at this beautiful property! We spent two nights here last weekend and had the most wonderful experience. The hosts have created a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, making it a warm and welcoming place to unwind and the house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Its location is ideal—just a short distance from the beach and local dining spots. The pool and grounds are beautifully kept, adding to the charm of this fabulous home. We will definitely be coming back.

Family getaway

Casbah was the perfect venue for a getaway with family visiting from England. The house was so spacious and well equipped, and exceptionally clean. The communication with the host was excellent and they were very accommodating . It was great to be able to have plenty of cooking equipment to be able to cook at home for eight of us. So much in fact that although we had planned to eat out. We ended up eating at home at the lovely dining table. fantastic pool area and a great games room downstairs. Also some lovely walks, especially to the beach to see the caves. I would highly recommend Casbah for a bigger group of people.

A wonderful time at Casbah!

We had the most wonderful time staying at Casbah, Caves Beach. The home was amazing & all the inclusions were a lovely surprise. When my 4 year old granddaughter was asked what she wanted to do today she said “go back to the beach house!” Thank you for opening your home to us!

Easter fun

Everything you need is in easy walking distance for safe family fun. The beach, the park, cafes, pub with kids play equipment. Or you can stay & take advantage of all that Casbah has to offer. The pool was well utilized over our stay. Also took time out together with a backyard BBQ whilst the kids ran & played on the grassed area & we finished up toasting marshmallows on the open fire pit. Casbah offers so much. We built sandcastles & amazing memories.

Great House, Perfect Location, Family friendly!

Our first stay at Casbah was truly perfect and we will definetely be back! The house is located in such a great spot walking distance from the lovely caves beach. The house had everything and more that we needed for our extended family stay for my Mother in laws 60th and was great for our young kids. Anything you can think of that you need while your away was there in the house and everything was so clean and well-kept upon our arrival. We loved having the pool and the outdoor area was so lovely to sit out in and enjoy the afternoon sun and to relax. We cannot recommend this beautiful property enough! The hosts were so lovely as well and kept us in the loop the entire time prior, during and after our stay. Thank you, Sally and Marty, for the lovely Casbah, we will be visiting again very soon!!!

Perfect family holiday house

Fantastic location, a short walk to the beach and a fabulous house. Very well equipped, great interior design and was the perfect place for our yearly family getaway (6 adults and 6 kids!). The pool is great and lots of family spaces to spend time together.

Wonderful Family Holiday

Sally and Marty, thank you for making this a wonderful family holiday. The house is absolutely stunning in a relaxed way, making everyone feel at home. We used all the amenities and appreciated your thoughtfulness in providing everything we could possibly need. The labels were a winner - especially on the lights. Having adult children - the downstairs rooms and pool area were appreciated so much they came back to spend more nights with us ! Caves Beach is spectacular with great walks and beautiful rockpools. The easy walk to the patrolled beach was very handy. A great location. Thank you for the gifts on arrival - loved these ! 10 out of 10 for you guys !

Amazing family holiday house

Thankyou for letting my family and I stay in your beautiful home. We have stayed in many properties but we all agreed this has been one of the most beautifully furnished, yet functional homes. The location is great, and we can not fault the cleanliness at all. Everything was impeccably clean and organised. The house caters for both warm and cold weather activities, and is great if you are travelling with young adults and babies. Would definitely come back and stay.

Great family getaway

From the moment you walk in until it’s time (unfortunately) to leave - this holiday escape has it all! Sally and her family have done an amazing job with this property. It has everything you will need for a short or a long stay. It’s all in the detail and Casbah has that in spades! (The welcome hamper of goodies was enjoyed by all!) The little kids loved it, the big kids loved it and we will definitely be back!

We have enjoyed our stay here. Sally’s response was very good and she will reply quickly.

Our experience during the stay in the property is very good and it is suitable for 3 families. lot of indoor games for kids and indoor swimming pool. Close to caves beach. Nice view in caves when there is low tides.

Family beach holiday

This was our second time to stay at this property - the house is beautiful and the location is ideal - walking distance to the beach, shops and caves coastal bar. I would happily recommend this property to family and friends, and we wouldn't hesitate booking another trip there in the future.

An exceptional home!

It was such a lovely home away from home. Our family had such a great weekend away. House was just beautiful, pool was amazing, location wise, it was all within walking distance to the cafes and the beach. Sally was an exceptional host. We had torrential rain the days leading up to our stay and she kindly reached out to us to see if we wanted to move our stay to another weekend because she knew we wanted to use the pool. She was so accommodating and just kept us up to date with everything, nothing was ever too hard. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful! We would definitely come back and would recommend it to family and friends.

Hi there, I live in Sydney with my husband Marty and 3 young adult kids. I really enjoy managing bookings and hosting families at our "Happy Place" Casbah Caves Beach. I love all things property - renovating, design and styling.
I aim to ensure that our holiday property is a complete home away from home for our guests to ensure they have the most relaxing holiday possible :)

Casbah is located in stunning Caves Beach which is an easy 80min drive from Sydney and the perfect spot to spend a week relaxing or if you're more adventurous there are plenty of outdoor activities on offer.

Spend time exploring the local beaches, visiting its namesake sea caves, discovering the Lake Macquarie area and all the water-sports on offer, scenic coastal walks and enjoying a drink or meal at Caves Coastal Bar and local cafes.

If you prefer a slower pace, you'll enjoy relaxing at the beach or just enjoying the comforts at Casbah - large swimming pool, outdoor dining and lounge areas, BBQ, pool table or during the cooler months sitting around the gas fireplace or outdoor firepit
