Enjoy sensational beach and sea views from the deck, living, dining, kitchen and main bedroom.

Open living and dining area is spacious, light and airy with comfortable lounge and reverse cycle air conditioning.

Three bedrooms accommodate 6 people. One king bed and two queen beds. Mattresses are very comfortable, and all beds are supplied with linen and towels.

Home away in paradise

We loved our stay at Bower by the Sea. Fantastic spot to set up the family For a week exploring the island. And what a view to come home to everyday. I recommend the hammock!

Wonderful hosts

This is definitely one of the best homes that we have stayed in. The view is incredible and the house has absolutely everything that you could want for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Good quality products used throughout. The checkin was seamless. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing views !

A wonderful house with the most amazing view of Penneshaw Beach and Jetty. Gorgeous house with everything you could need. Absolutely loved our stay. Only a short walk to Penneshaw town centre or beach. So wonderful it’s dog friendly too. Rosie also had a great stay!

Penneshaw Retreat

This is a terrific house and was perfectly appointed by the hosts. The little touches made us feel quite secure, and the position of the home allowed us to arrive late and leave early. Instructions came through a couple of days after we had booked, but they were clear and comprehensive when they did.

Amazing Property with Spectacular Views

If you are looking for accommodation that has the most spectacular views, is extremely well appointed, exceptionally clean and comfortable then "Bower by the Sea" is the place for you. Our family felt very lucky to have had 11 nights at this amazing property. Everything you could need and want was supplied. Watching dolphin play from the front deck was a highlight on most days....incredible views. Thank you so much Darian and Peggy for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

Peggy and Darian live in South Australia and own and manage an advertising agency and Bowerbird. Our downtime often consists of gardening, pottery, cooking, dining out, hikes and regional day or weekend trips. Our destinations are usually centred around a restaurant we love or a local shop filled with old wares or local hand-made treasures.

We love visiting regional Australia. Whether it is the Clare Valley, Margaret River or Kangaroo Island, each destination has a uniqueness. Kangaroo Island has become a place of relaxation. The quick trip on the ferry helps to bring a sense of escaping day-to-day activities with a sea-change in-sight to recharge regardless of the weather. The sound of the ocean when you awake, the uninterrupted views all day. A walk on the beach or through other landscapes the island offers. A winery for lunch or a home-cooked meal. Kangaroo Island truly is a great place to visit and unwind.
