Located on the deep water canals of Ocean Isle Beach with Intracoastal Waterway access and ocean access. Easy walk to the beach, town, shopping, restaurants, ice cream, mini golf, park, museum.
Ocean Isle Beach is a south facing barrier island with 7 miles of beach on the Atlantic Ocean, located 12 miles south of the NC/SC border. Ocean Isle Beach is a much quieter and less crowded island than areas like Myrtle Beach, etc. The beach is spectacular and is very wide and clean with a nice gentle slope. The island has a fishing pier, arcade, surf shops, restaurants, museum, ice cream parlor, mini golf course, bicycle, jet ski, kayak, boat and golf cart rentals. The backside of the island has quiet protected water great for kayaking.

Nice stay

We had a wonderful stay. The property was as described the only negative remark I could say is that the dock location in relations to the channel was a little tight for our boat. I must also say this was the first house that we have ever stayed at that the air conditioning could actually keep up.

Fantastic stay !

This is our third day at this house The house is in a perfect location with access to both the canal and the beach shops and restaurants in OIB ! We have a jet ski so we appreciate the ramp and dock The house is clean and has everything you need for a family trip! Cliff is so responsive and friendly, very easy to work with ! We will definitely return

Home away from home

Keeping it Reel is an outstanding home that has everything you need for a perfect vacation. A well stocked kitchen, a comfortable living area and large bedrooms with 2 beds in 3 of them. Also, plenty of bathrooms so getting ready is a breeze. The deck seating is very nice and you are just a few minutes from outstanding walks on the beach and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We look forward each year to coming down and hope that we can rent this wonderful house as long as possible. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

A Great Week

This year we had the perfect vacation in the perfect house. "Keepin it Reel" is beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen provided a space for us to socialize and cook together. We were able to rent a golf cart to get around the island, which the whole family loved. I would definitely rent this house again.

Keepin’ It Reel-Great House!

The house was perfect! Tons of room, and close to everything, short walk to beach access. The kids loved floating in the canal. Cliff was great to work with! Would highly recommend.

Great house- dirty floors

My family and I had wonderful week at Ocean Isle. For he most part we thoroughly enjoyed this house, although there were a few things that soured the trip. The laminate flooring throughout the house as well as the carpet in all bedrooms and upstairs hallways was extremely dirty, as of they had not been cleaned in months. My and my family's feet were all black after just a few minutes of walking in the house. We had to mop the floors several times before the layer of filth came off. There was nothing we could do about the carpets unfortunately. The towels were in the dryer when we arrived instead of folded. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and love visiting Ocean Isle Beach.

Beautiful Home, unexpected guests though...

This home had a very nice interior, from the kitchen to the bathrooms. Very well appointed and the use of the downstairs closet/grill was a nice addition. Been about 10 years since we stayed on 2nd street and it is unreal how much more traffic there is at all hours of the day. That had no bearing on our enjoyment of the vacation, though it did make conversation a bit difficult to hear at times on the porch and gazebo. Biggest issue was the listing advertises a dock and "private gazebo". We checked in on Saturday and enjoyed both amenities Saturday and Sunday. However, on Monday people showed up to put a boat in that was on a boat lift beside the dock, and brought in two jet skis. I inquired with the host and was informed the dock was actually leased to neighbors across the street. This was never disclosed before they just showed up on Monday and had to traverse through the gazebo and under the house to get to the dock for the rest of the week. So if you have younger children that normally enjoy spending time on the dock just wasting time, don't count on them being able to do that at this house without interruption. The follks using the boat/jet skis seemed very nice and I do not fault them at all, the host/owner failed miserably in disclaiming vital information that would have likely altered my decision to rent this house. Think I will go back to the local rental companies our family has used for the past 50 years to avoid surprises like this next year.

Excellent home!

We had a smaller group this year at OIB and this house was perfect! Great location and wonderful serene view of the canal with a private gazebo. Plenty of parking, amenities and the house was well stocked. Would recommend and stay again!
