Perfect Family Getaway by the beach

A wonderful large family home with a long history of fantastic memories is now available for your next family holiday right next to the beach.
3 large bedrooms and a spacious living and dining area with TV, Chromecast, Xbox, although you wont have much time for those with the beach out the back gate.
Great fishing spot or just sit and enjoy the scenery on the bench seat overlooking the ocean.
Back yard is fully fenced off from the main road and the beach.

A perfect location to explore Northern Buller. Close to the Old Ghost road, charming creek walkway and Denniston. Just an hours drive to Karamea and the start of the Heaphy track or a 30min drive back to Westport.

Linen, towels and basic toiletries are supplied so just pack your clothes and food.

Sweet spot

A beautiful spot for a break, right on the stunning beach and close to loads of great areas to visit and enjoy. The house itself is really big and well presented.

Great place to stay and explore the upper west coast

Tidy, comfortable and newly refurbished cottage in a great location with the beach at the end of the garden. Highly recommend this place as a base for exploring the west coast. It was a lovely touch that the fire was lit before we arrived. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed having the facilities of an old but very tidy batch style home. Spacious with comfy beds and everything we needed for our 2 day stay.

Fabulous spot!!

We loved our stay at this property. Had everything we needed, nice and clean, heaps of space and a great backyard for the kids to run around in. We loved walking through the gate each night to watch the sunset, stunning! Thanks so much, we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay the holiday home has everything you need and was very clean. It has Fishing , walking tracks close by. Coalface cafe and takeaway have great meals just 5 minute walk. Thankyou

We had a great time

Great place to stay. very friendly local's. The beach is not suitable for swimming with a young family. How ever the community pool was good. and was not far to a suitable swimming beach. We had a great holiday thanks.

Relaxing and interesting

Peaceful . Relaxing . Seat overlooking the beach is awesome . We love wild West Coast beach’s and exploring so great for us . Met some interesting locals and heard some of the area history direct from them 👍 . We would go again

West Coast Getaway

Perfect location for local walks, longer tramps and long mountain bike adventures. Swum in the sea most days although the West Coast was enjoying an exceptionally long settled summer. The house is old but comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen, spacious but with a few quirks to be expected with an older building.

Great Location

Thank you so much for sharing your families property with us! I have always adored the coast but have never travelled north of Westport & Hector is just wonderful. We had a fantastic stay, everything we needed was there and we were very comfortable. We had beautiful weather, having the beach in the backyard was brilliant, so was the soft green lawn! You can tell a lot of love and care goes into taking care of this property. Thanks again, i'm sure we will be back! Mel & Adam

Winter Stay at Hector

Everything was as expected. Well equipped kitchen, and the beds were comfy. Our stay would have been perfect if the window in the bathroom was fixed. The screen was broken, and there was no glass. Also, the bathroom was not heated, so a bit of a shock in the middle of the night! The hosts were great, and responded quickly to questions.
