Wayfarer Cottage-walk to town, pet friendly

Wayfarer Cottage is a delightful property conveniently located within easy access to all of Daylesford’s iconic landmarks and walking distance to the main street and Lake Daylesford.

The beautifully styled cottage comprises an open-plan living and dining space that adjoins a well-equipped kitchen complete with coffee-pod machine, dishwasher and plenty of kitchen necessities. Enjoy entertainment on the wall-mounted 55” smart TV, or if you prefer to play your own tunes, the retro-style bluetooth/USB/CD player is available for you to create your desired mood. CDs, board games, retro video games, books, toys and picnic amenities are also available for guest use.

There are 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 and 2 bathrooms: master with a queen bed, ensuite and walk-in-robe, second with a queen bed and built-in-robe; and the third bedroom is set up with a single bunk. A separate bathroom with bathtub and separate toilet is available, as well as a full sized laundry. Wayfarer Cottage has central heating, a large split-system AC unit in the living/dining room and fans in the two main bedrooms for year-round comfort.

Enjoy the outdoor BBQ facilities and seating on the rear deck or laze on the sun lounges in the gazebo. Wayfarer Cottage is dog-friendly and the small back yard is secured for your furry friends to explore. This cosy little cottage is a wonderful ‘home away from home’.

The property had a great secure outdoor area for my two dogs. I could let them go outside and be confident that they were safe. The house had everything I needed for a break. Very clean and comfortable. Communication was excellent.

Perfect getaway in a great location

We had a great time staying in this home. It had everything we needed and was close to some lovely walking tracks, the legendary Mill Markets and town. Check in was easy with good communication.

Melb Cup Weekend

The property is very well presented. On arrival a lovely bottle of Red Wine and beautiful biscuits awaited us. If wanting to cook in house or prepare a simple meal. This is one of the best places stayed in Daylesford. The small things like Glad Wrap and baking paper, enabling you to use the oven. Very thoughtful. Plus Shampoo and body wash supplied. There was nothing missing. Excellent.

Homely and welcoming cottage

This was one of our favourites-cute little home away from home equipped with all the essentials to make our stay comfortable. The extra touches like warming the place up for our arrival and putting the lights and some music on were particularly thoughtful considering our late arrival. Also the provision of linen and towels made it easier for us. The booking and check in/out were seamless. Overall, a great experience that I would thoroughly recommend.

Very comfy cottage

This is a great venue, very well appointed with a comprehensive provision of almost everything you could wish for. Our only suggestion is for either an electric blanket, or a small heater for the bedrooms. It was freezing weather when we were there, and as we did not keep the ducted heating running throughout the night, we were not warm enough in bed despite loading on all available bedding. Other than that, it was delightful.

The property had everything we needed for a few days holiday.Even though the position is close to town the hills to walk there were huge . Would have liked some grass out the back for my dog. Overall a lovely place to stay , I would highly recommended it.

Family get together

We stayed here with our three grown up children and one partner. Very well appointed and clean property. Nice sunny table out the back. Appreciated wine and chocolates on arrival. Only comment is that the bunk beds are not sturdy enough for 2 young adults. Overall a perfect place for a weekend away.

Beautifully decorated & very comfortable

We all enjoyed our stay - adults, teenagers and dog. We noted the proximity to the main road on arrival, and that wasn't an issue at all. We didn't hear any cars during the day or night. Great stay - thank you. There is so much to see and do in the area.

Delightful Daylesford getaway

Wayfarer cottage was a beautifully presented property with attention to detail that made it homely and comfortable. Located in a quiet street and a short walk (10 mins) to town, the location was great. The layout of the bedrooms makes suited to families. Overall the extra touches (like the wine and chocies on entry) showed pride in the property and it was a very delightful stay.

Mothers Day Getaway

Really enjoyed spending time at the Wayfarer Cottage. We even brought our dog along for our weekend getaway. Very clean and cosy. It so happened to also be Mother's Day weekend and the hosts were so kind to leave a bottle of wine and some hand lotions as a present for my mum. She absolutely loved it. And we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you guys for the thoughtful present and allowing us to have a pleasant stay.

Great holiday home for everyone

Just a note, the address does not show up on the WAZE up. Once we found the place the check in was pretty easy, the front door handle is upside down so you have to pull up not down. The house was great, each room was clean with adequate bedding. Great heating as it was very cold the whole weekend so we didn’t venture out the back. The only thing missing is a dryer or a drying rack as we washed clothes while we were there and just hung them over the chairs to dry. Nice and close to town

Beautiful relaxing cottage

From the moment we walked inside, we felt we were somewhere special. The beautiful decor, the welcome hamper pack and wine, the fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine (and lots of pods), everything you needed was provided for. A short drive into town, it was the ideal location. My family including pup loved our stay. We can not wait to be back again. Thank you!
