I decided to manage my own properties on Airbnb after having them managed for me. I found that management businesses were not providing the quality of service I desired for the guests in my properties. Some of the issues I encountered included: multiple people messaging guests which resulted in confusion, cleaning which wasn't up to standard, and delays in assisting guests when they required assistance. On the whole, I found it impersonal and lacking in hospitality.
A bit about me.
I'm a born and bred local. I spent the first ten years of my life in the town of Jabiru in the heart of Kakadu National Park. I've lived in Darwin since then, and I am very familiar with Darwin and its surrounds. I love living here ... the weather, gorgeous sunsets, markets, multicultural and friendly population, the list could go on. I've travelled around the world, and spent part of my early 20's helping to establish an eco-tourism venture in Nepal, which has been a great success. As such, I know what it means to offer a quality experience to guests.
I look forward to hosting you, and I trust that you'll enjoy your stay. Head to the nearby Mindil Beach for the weekly Mindil Beach Markets during the dry season, the Ski Club/Saling Club/Trailer Boat Club for a beverage and meal by the beach, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, and East Point to visit the Darwin Military Museum or simply to enjoy one of the most scenic spots in the Top End.
