No longer luxury, needs maintenance

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

We were so looking forward to our luxury stay after living in our motorhome for 2 months. It was a bit extravagant for just the two of us but we splurged wanted to spoil ourselves. The views are absolutely stunning. Unfortunately though, the house did not meet our expectations. The house needs some maintenance and some additional cleaning. The property appears to have active termites, both in the outdoor area and the wooden door leading to outside. There are also ants and spiders throughout the house. Lots of cobwebs everywhere. The spa was out of order whilst we were there. The outdoor area was covered in bird poo. The downstairs bedroom door doesn’t close as the rollers are broken, allowing insects into the property. The lights don’t work in every area. There were no lights in the walk in robe, lights in the kitchen also need attention. The house wasn’t as clean as we expected, the fan in the kitchen is filthy, the rangehood filters need a clean as they are very greasy. The skirting boards are covered in dirt and dead insects. The dining table had crumbs on it. The recycling bin was full with no room for anything. The upstairs toilet is bleach stained needing attention to remove the stain. Overall, whilst the noise is in a beautiful location with amazing views, the lack of maintenance and cleanliness let it down. The bed in the main bedroom is very uncomfortable with springs being felt whilst in bed. As we only used the one bedroom, maybe it will provide a better opportunity for the house to be cleaned and maintenance issues attended to.
