    Little house on the bluff

    So cute, the decor was outstanding and so usable for a small space. It was a little short on storage but so lovely, we wouldn't change a thing. And the view was outstanding.

    Beautiful Cliffside Cottage

    Beautiful little cottage. Basic, but had a lot more going for it than we expected. The dining room feels more like a covered porch than anything, and was an incredible place to hang out with the breeze flowing through the screen doors, and has a view of Superior through the trees. Grilling in the backyard and eating on the porch was also wonderful. Note that there’s no beach access because the cliffs in back are steep, but that didn’t matter to us since we were out and about during the day, and the view in the morning and evening is great. Great quiet retreat or basecamp for a visit to Madeline for a couple or a small family.

    Beautiful Remote Getaway w/spectacular views

    Madeline Island’s the perfect destination for this classic lakeside cottage in the woods! Property was extremely clean, inviting, and the perfect size for a getaway with my wife for week celebrating her birthday. Lovely flora and fauna that surrounds the property. We spent hours identifying trees, plants, and the abundant wildlife we saw daily. Short drive to the little town of La Pointe, the Big Bay State Park, Big Bay Town Park recreation area, and great views of the lake. Speaking of views of the lake, the path from back door to fire pit provides a captivating view of the lake! We had fires every evening and watched both the moonrise and sunrise daily. Unbelievable star gazing, with Starlink flying by one night. We did think aliens were invading but calmed down after a search on the internet. Cottage has Wi-Fi and any amenities we needed. Did have an alarm go off one night on septic system but had complete instructions on handling it and one call to host in the morning got the service needed. Great vacation!
