You can't get closer to the water if you tried

This bach is right on the water, and it's possible to catch fish from the deck! You can put the whitebait net out (in season), or just simply relax and look at the water. View from lounge is panoramic, from ocean around and up the river. A few minutes walk up beach for surf casting, kayak up river or if you are that inclined out to sea. West coast fishing at its best. 45 min from Waitomo caves, 15 min from Marokopa falls, Natural Bridge and bush walks.

Special conditions:
Smoking outside only. All butts to be removed, do not throw butts out on to the lawn.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/tea towels/sheets etc) and toiletries, and take your rubbish when you leave.

Minimum stay 2 nights for this property. Price includes first four people, additional people at $30/person/night, up to the maximum of six.

Stunning location with gorgeous views. Tons to do and see. Loved the proximity to the beach. Kitchen is very well equipped and nicely decorated. A place to relax with a good book if you can divert your eyes from the view.

Such a magical spot with a wonderful view you don't even need to leave the armchair. Well equipped bach in a great location, great community and good value for your money. Will difently be returning.

This is our second time at this bach and we love it, beautiful local natural attractions, fabulous beach and beach walks, excellent fishing, comfortable accommodation, everything you need for a relaxed or active getaway, whatever you feel like. Excellent communication with the property manager. We will definitely be back. Love it here.

Beautiful views and golden sunsets.. Locals dropped fish in for us which was a great treat. Wonderful week enjoying the buzz of the river and beach. Perfect size community, well maintained and friendly.

You couldn’t get closer to the water if you tried …

We have stayed here a few times over the past decade and each stay has been different. That’s because nature changes often and this spot is as close to beach nature as you can be and old classic kiwi bach next to an unspoilt New Zealand. Always so good :)

A view while cooking dinner

We loved our stay. My elderly mum enjoyed the view of the beach from the comfort of the couch. I thoroughly enjoyed the view while cooking food. Kitchen has everything you need. Teenagers enjoyed being out in and on the water. And we all enjoyed abit of fishing at the beach and from the deck. Will book again.
