Waterfront Chalet in Val-des-Monts. The chalet is 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa. This new 3 bedroom 3 bathroom Chalet sleeps 6-8 people. Safe for Children and elderly with a sandy beach front. (0 steps) Kayak, paddle board and 2 tubes are available for your aquatic enjoyment.
Hot tub in private enclosure and interior fireplace are available.
Only ecological logs are permitted in the interior fireplace.
NOTE: Ecological wood NOT supplied. Keep your mind at ease during power outages as there is a Generac generator connected to the chalet. Bell Fibe Highspeed internet will increase your browsing capability while staying with us.

Truly a slice of heaven. The cottage is well stocked, was clean, had games and toys for the kids, heated floors throughout the ground floor kept us toasty (was -30C the weekend we stayed), all streaming services on tv…. We couldn’t find something to complain about if we tried!

Absolutely beautiful house and scenery. However the kitchen stuffs are a bit less clean and handy. We realized the quilts were without covers until the last day.

The cottage was one of the most luxurious, cleanest and most beautiful cottages I have ever been to. In addition, Mr. Jay was very respectful and always there to help.. I recommend it because it is worth it.

Nos 5 jours dans le chalet ont été un enchantement. Le site est magnifique, le chalet superbe. Nous avons profité du lac (kayak et paddle). Sans parler du jacuzzi et des grillades de guimauve le soir au coin du feu ! Nous garderons longtemps le souvenir de ce séjour

Beautiful cottage and property with all the amenities you could need and more. We had a nice, relaxing stay with paddle boarding, bbqs, campfires and cozy movie nights. Jay was very responsive to the few questions we had while staying and check-in/check-out was easy.

Beautiful chalet, lake, hot tub, fire pit - what more do you need?

Couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family summer vacation. Perfectly designed chalet with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The lake is amazing and kayaks and a paddle board are available as well as floats for relaxing or enjoying water sports and exploring the lake. Cooler nights were spent grilling on the patio followed by a fire and s'more's around the spacious fire pit.

Great accommodation

Lovely place - it had everything we wanted. Lots of parking space, all the amenities, even a generator that kicked in automatically when a tree fell in the road and took the power out. Only flaw was some geese that dirtied the beach area but we were not there to swim. Thanks for everything!

Family getaway

The house was great. Loved the Canadiana decor, and the bathrooms were fabulous. Loved the heated floors! Hot tub was really nice. Too bad there was so much snow, that the outdoor area was inaccessible.

Another great stay!

This is our second summer staying at this property and, once again, it did not disappoint. We were thrilled to find the extra kayak this year so now 2 family members can go paddling together. The lake is beautiful, the proximity to Wakefield is fantastic, and the property has everything you need for a wonderful stay.

Great property close to Ottawa.

Fantastic Luxury Cottage Getaway in the Gatineaus

We stayed for a week at Chalet Paradise in Val-des-Monts, Quebec, in the summer of 2023. The property was absolutely fabulous, and the setting on the lake was perfect. We really enjoyed the paddleboard and kayak provided. The ameneties were excellent, including a fully equipped kitchen, bluetooth speaker and really luxurious bath and showers. The wifi worked really well too, especially considering the rather remote locale. The entire property was immaculate and well maintained. This was truly a luxury chalet! The host has been very thoughtful and thorough, including almost everything you need for a vacation home, such as ample firewood, lots of kitchen utensils and even those little things like cling wrap and condiments that are such a pain to have to pack in yourselves! The host was very responsive to queries, and did check in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. We had a thoroughly excellent stay and will definitely return when we are next in the Gatineau area!

Excellent stay!

We had a wonderful time at this property! I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The property was well equipped with everything you could need. We have two children and the shallow entry into the water was perfect for them. We swam, kayaked, and paddle boarded every day. The host was excellent and very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. Highly recommend.

Chalet parfait pour un séjour en famille

Ce chalet était absolument parfait pour des vacances en famille. La propriété est bien entretenue et l'hôte est très réactif et rapides pour répondre à nos questions. La cuisine était bien équipée et il avait plusieurs jeux sur place. Nous avons passé du très bon temps en famille, je recommande.

Beautiful, private cottage with lovely lake views

The cottage was perfect for our group of 5. The kids fished and played on the lake every day and the cottage had all the amenities for a very comfortable stay. The owner was incredibly responsive the the cottage was spotless when we got there.

Friends Getaway

This cottage is beautiful and so comfortable. Went there with a group of girlfriends (5 people), and it was large enough to comfortably give everyone their own bed and no line up for bathrooms. Jay was incredibly helpful and really quick to reply to any questions, and the cottage was so clean. Was perfect for a weekend of lounging around and catching up with friends. I will definitely go back again, and definitely recommend it for anyone else. One thing to keep in mind for May travel is that it is mosquito season and they are insane. I am just mentioning it in case a family with kids want to go to a cottage in that sector with the expectation of being able to enjoy the lake or hot tub, or have their kids play outside. You will 100% end up staying inside due to high volume of aggressive mosquitoes coming after you the second you step outside. This is not a constant problem, its just the current season. This cottage is still wonderful, and one of the best properties i have come accross.

Amazing getaway! Vraiment super!

Jay was an amazing host. Quick to respond and has created a wonderful getaway space niched on a lake with such an attention to detail for our comfort it was SO appreciated.
