From the moment you take the original cage-style vintage lift up to this top floor apartment, you know you’re in for a treat. The building is in immaculate condition and the experience continues on entry into this special home.
The main living area is made up of three rooms but the flow from the kitchen through the lounge to the dining room is uninterrupted by wide original Art Deco sliding doors and openings. The eye is drawn to the Sydney Harbour and water views through the large dining room window. Light streams in and the apartment is fresh and appealing.
The newly renovated and stylish kitchen is fully equipped and includes a microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee pod machine and boiling /cold and sparkling water on tap. With a large island bench and stools, you can enjoy entertaining while you cook and will certainly wow your guests with the view from here.
The lounge is comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the dining room, with a suitably retro suite for 6, will be a drawcard for sitting and gazing at the harbour.
The master bedroom shares the same vistas, and is comfortably appointed with a King bed, ample wardrobe space and air-conditioning. The new ensuite is also en pointe. The second bedroom, also kitted out with premium linens, has a desk should you need to work, and has access to the sleek family bathroom. Both bathrooms have showers, vanity and toilets and the separate European laundry ‘cupboard’ houses the washing machine and dryer.
Heating, WiFi and internet, and a smart TV are provided, along with toiletries and other thoughtful inclusions. Parking on the street is free and unrestricted.
Please note: For stays of 21+ nights, a quick bi-weekly inspection (10-15 mins) is required to maintain the home. We’ll arrange this at a convenient time after check-in.
The best aspect of this apartment is… its aspect! It’s in a truly enviable position, with the beach a mere 30 second stroll at the end of the short cul-de-sac and Sydney Harbour Bridge just across the water.
Stroll up the street onto New South Head Road and enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and shops that the ‘village’ of Rose Bay offers. It has a lovely community feel. You must try the fabulous pastries from the bakery. There’s fish and chips, Thai, Italian, Japanese, Chinese - you have plenty of choice for dinners out or take away. There is a sprinkling of shops but the local bus can whisk you to the nearby shopper’s paradise of Double Bay.
If you’re after active pursuits, hire a kayak or stand up paddle board and enjoy viewing the Harbour and foreshore from a different perspective. Head up along Tivoli Ave to Hermitage Foreshore Reserve and enjoy the nature walk all the way along the coast to Nielsen Park at Vaucluse. Explore Vaucluse House, take the bus for a lunch at Doyle’s at Watson’s Bay or catch the bus or ferry to immerse yourself in Sydney CBD.
