"Anchored at Last" features 7 bedrooms, a spacious living and dining room area, well-equipped kitchen for the chef in your family, Smart TV's for streaming your favorite shows, an entertaining Rec Room with a pool table and kitchenette, and much more.

Wake up, grab your morning coffee and start your day with the picturesque sunrise and salty breeze. Take the private walkway to the beach and enjoy a fun-filled day surfing, swimming, collecting shells or just basking in the sun. After a long day at the beach, the outdoor area will surely bring many hours of smiles and shared memories for all ages. The little ones will enjoy their own private kiddie pool, while the adults splash around in their 14x32 private pool or relax in the hot tub. In the evening, grab your favorite drink and head to the screened in porch where you can take in views of some of the most amazing sunsets on the East Coast.

Family Vacation

We’ve stayed at this same house before. But this time the 2nd bedroom carpet smelt so strongly like urine we were unable to even use that room. The other 2 masters had showers that barely drained. These issues would certainly require repair before anyone could truly enjoy a stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is 7th year in OBX and our 5th at this house. We love it and it totally feels like home for our family. Though we live close to each other back home, life intrudes and our time together is limited. Here will are able to take and make the time not only for family time on the beach and in teh evening, but also close enough to so many activities and attractions that each part of our Family can also enjoy what they prefer as well. It is such a special time and place for us. We go by the motto that "we may not have it all together but when we are together we have it all." Looking forward to next year!!!!

GREAT LOCATION w/Aging Rental Company

If you’re looking for amazing beach access…this was awesome. There are vacation rentals directly next to this location with limited privacy. We did not have access to the pools. The proximity to the beach was phenomenal. The house itself was as expected however we found the beds uncomfortable. There is a pirate hanging from the ceiling you will hate or love. This has been our 4th VRBO vacation over the last year. It seemed that though this location was through VRBO the house was managed by a rental property…which is normal. However it seemed to us that the location was more of a rental property that came with the bare essentials which was annoying. If you wanted extra towels it was $7/towel etc. No beach chairs were available (probably for a fee), very limited kitchen items (very small amount dish liquid, no laundry detergent etc). We did not want to download another app to track the home. Additionally we traveled with a few very young children and were not notified in advance of towel drop off for the next group or the pool technician dropping by to work on motors or pool chemistry. We found this off putting as we received no notification of arrival.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The positives!! This home is perfectly located for a peaceful and wonderful quiet family vacation. Basically a private beach, amazing pool and children's pool were loved and used by all of us. The home is nicely decorated and the kitchen is one of the best stocked I have encountered. We loved our time here.My only con: The two master bedrooms' mattresses are TERRIBLE!! Our son has to travel quite a bit and said he has stayed in some hotels that had quite uncomfortable mattresses, but none as bad as this! We tried to use blankets under the sheets to make them softer.For Beach Realty: This home was NOT NOT NOT clean. I spent 2 1/2 hours after arrival cleaning. I figured it was easier than calling and complaining, but someone needs to check these homes. Examples: hair in our bathroom, chocolate prints on outside of cabinets, the wall where the waste cans were located was plain FILTHY, finger marks all over the door handle areas, and food splatters a number of places on the wall...I could go on, but you have the picture. Small note: no towels packs left for master bedroom on top floor. Very disappointed to have to do this. I am sure the owners are paying plenty to have a cleaning crew in there and they would be quite disappointed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is a decent house in a good location, with some downside. Despite what the check-in time may state, when my family arrived after 4pm, the cleaners were still in the house. We did not get a text when the house was ready and it wasn’t ready until 6PM, so we checked in at 6:15PM. Check-out day was also not a great experience. Despite check-out being at 11am, the pool guy arrived at 7am and walked into the pool area as if he owned the place. He commenced his maintenance while talking on his phone, totally oblivious to me or the other guests. Any opportunity to use the pool or the outdoor amenities was non-existent after he arrived. He also parked in the space closest to the house! Therefore as I began packing to leave, I had to walk past his van to get to my truck. Same for the other guests. Just very inconsiderate and ruined the last morning of our vacation. Probably more importantly is anyone reading MUST BE AWARE that the mattresses in the two master bedrooms on the 2nd floor are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The top floor mattress is fine, but the two in the 2nd floor master bedrooms are terrible. The couples that attempted to sleep on those mattresses tried everything they could to make them more comfort (Sleeping on blankets, pillows, and even a blow up raft, with little to no success). A good mattress isn’t that expensive and those things need to be replaced. The house itself was good, but not great. On the first night my wife spent entirely too much time cleaning the house. Once that was done, the house was decent and served our purposes adequately.

The 1st floor smelled like mildew. The driveway had nails and a razor blade, thank goodness none of us got flat tires. The king beds in the master suites on the 2nd floor were so hard we moved another mattress over and bought a mattress pad. There were also loose screws sticking up on the deck area leading to the beach that the grandkids stepped on.

Still had bars of soap with hair on them in two of the bathrooms. The upstairs gait on the deck was broken and in dangerous condition for children. A dishwasher piece wasn’t working and contacted the rental company. They said they will send out a repair man that day or the next morning... repair man never came.
