Absolute Beachfront? Absolutely!
This gorgeously renovated Waiotahe beach bach has stood proudly on this site for many a year, creating long and lasting memories for all who have stayed here. Built with nothing between you and the sea, waking to crashing waves is the best way to start the day and to drift off to sleep at night. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place.
Whatever the weather, the views from the balcony or inside the bach will be breath taking. On sunny summer days, sit back and watch the ever changing tides and the sparkles of sunshine on the sea. In winter, soak up the moodiness of wind, rain and sun, whilst warming yourself in front of the fireplace. Views of Moutohora/Whale and Whakaari/White Islands are right in front of you, from both living room and bedrooms.
There’s plenty to do when booking time away here, just for yourself, or with your partner, or your family. Walk along the beach, right in front of you, or bike along the newly established cycle trails, which will take you, west, all the way to Waiotahe Estuary, or east into Opotiki, then further, along the Motu Trails. There’s golf, a museum, great bush walks, more beaches, rivers….or there’s the opportunity to sit under the awning, on the balcony and just….relax, read a little, listen to great music and chill.
The main house has living/dining/kitchen and bathroom, with a master bedroom with queen sized bed. The annex has bunks and a queen sized bed. The deck joins both areas together, with steps leading down to the laundry and outside (hot water!) shower with a good sized lawn for spreading out on the grass.
Internet, parking, room for the boat, privacy and close proximity to Opotiki (5 minutes) and Ohope/Whakatane (30 minutes). Great building blocks for a successful, stress free, holiday.
You have the entire property to yourself.
Waiotahe is a beach side settlement 5 minutes drive from Opotiki. A holiday camp is situated nearby with coffee available. A cycle track runs along the beach to the estuary to the west and is being extended into town and then along the Motu Trails.
Parking is available on site.
A car is required to get around Opotiki, with limited public transport.
Bikes are useful to take advantage of the many trails in and around Opotiki.
The bathroom does not have a shower. There is an outside hot water shower outside.
