We had an excellent time at this home. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, and it had all the amenities we needed for a great stay.We especially loved that the house offers multiple living spaces, which allowed us to enjoy the property in many different ways. In addition to a very comfortable home with a well-equipped kitchen and great bathrooms, there was also a game area, a fire pit, and a barbecue with an outdoor table, which made it ideal for relaxing and spending time together.We were able to enjoy many activities both inside the house and in the surrounding neighborhood, nearby areas, and the city of Clayton. This truly made our stay memorable.We are very grateful for the opportunity and would absolutely recommend this property. It was a wonderful experience.

This was the perfect place for my family's (5 adults and 4 kids) Thanksgiving break. The convenience of being close to town but feeling like you were out in the country. The game room downstairs was the highlight for my son and son-in-law, while my grandkids preferred the huge yard to run and play in. The hot tub was also loved by the grandkids. The house was big and roomy, and we all could move around easily. There were 2 1/2 baths and we liked that none were joined to a single bedroom. We could use any of the bathrooms without feeling like we were invading someone's space. The kitchen was my favorite and my daughter, daughter-in-law and I easily had room to cook our Thanksgiving meal and enjoy family time. It felt like home!

Comfortable house with many thoughtful amenities

This house was perfect for a short stay with our elderly dog, and a few other friends, as we travelled from ATL to visit a friend who lives in Clayton. Very comfortable rooms and beds, with comfy bedding, furniture, TV, PLENTY of outlets, and excellent heating (the weather turned chilly). Really appreciated the many extra thoughtful touches (condiments, K cups, great kitchen utensils, sparkling wine). We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub, but noticed that it was pristine, and we’ll definitely be back again, to indulge. For this visit, we loved the game room(s), and the ability to access it from the downstairs level, since our dog can’t navigate stairs. Beautiful setting, lovely pastures, hills with changing foliage, and clear nights with lots of stars. Enjoyed a local winery Looking forward to our next stay.

Relaxing mountain getaway!

We had the best long weekend here! The house was super clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. We spent so much time out on the patio enjoying the gorgeous fall weather, and the hot tub and rec room made the evenings perfect. The area is beautiful and close to great hikes, waterfalls, and cute shops. Plenty of space for the kids to play too. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect Family Stay

Easy to find and seamless check-in process. The host, Sarah, left a lovely note and a bottle of bubbly. Large kitchen with everything needed to make meals at home. TVs in every room including the game room in the basement.Lovely views all around in a very quiet neighborhood on a street with only 3 houses. We saw bunnies and many birds, including a plethora of hummingbirds. Plenty of room for family of 5 adults and then some. Would definitely stay here again.

Great mountain getaway

My fiance abd I met some of our friends from florida and stayed at Misty Vale. We had a great time using all of the propeties amenities. The hot tub was definitely a plus! We will be back!

Fantastic

The place was great. It was clean well taken care of. Nice patio set and the game room was awesome. It was more then enough space for the for for my family. The kitchen was stocked with seasoning and condiments for you to use thanks to the host. Speaking of the host, she is wonderful. She made us feel appreciated with the gift she left us for booking her place. That there tells me she is a great human being and treats other how she would want to be treated. Great experience!

Our church’s women’s leadership team attended our second year retreat at Misty Vale this January! We love the charm and find it very welcoming and inviting for our time with the Lord and with each other. It has everything that we need. We plan to return again next year and the year after. I also shared this information with another church’s women’s director, and they are planning on booking their spring retreat of about 18 people at the property if possible. Our retreat has found a home and we are so thankful for the responsiveness, kindness, and thoughtfulness that our house Sarah has shown. We will be back and we will tell others as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a wonderful experience at Misty Vale!

Amazing property and owners

I cant thank the owners enough for everything they did for me and my family. We originally rented misty vale to celebrate with family but ended up having a tragic event and they were beyond amazing to us and worked with us to extend our stay. They were very kind through our entire stay. We will definitely be returning for our future stays in rabun.

Home Away from Home

This property is the best in the area for a quite relaxing stay in the mountains, but also short drives to hikes, Mt towns, and much more. This is the second time we have booked here for the home away from home feeling you get here. The house is well stocked kitchen, blankets, towels and everything you need for your stay. The store is literally right down the road and there are plenty of great places to eat if you don't like to cook, but this kitchen is gorgeous. Will book again in the future.

Women’s leadership retreat

We had a wonderful weekend in a welcoming, comfortable home. Due to the weather we never really left the house for the entire stay. If was a lot of fun. We would recommend this house to others.

Great place with plenty to do on & off property

We spent Christmas '23 at this property and couldn't have been happier. Plenty of room and plenty to do on site, which we found found out when it rained for almost 48 hours straight. Sarah was very accommodating and checked in on us even on Christmas day & was kind enough to have a Christmas tree for us. Definitely above and beyond of what we expected. She is absolutely awesome. Plenty to do nearby as well, shopping downtown and local state parks with plenty of hiking trails as well as one on site of the property. Available activities in the basement definitely helped with riding out the rain storm. Great place, even better host and would absolutely stay at the Misty Vale again without hesitation. Thank you again Sarah, you are great.

Oh my stars - Misty Vale is an amazingly peaceful gem!! What a fabulous host leaving us a sweet note and little treats😊 We enjoyed hiking on the property and in the area, visiting locally owned restaurants in Clayton, and the games filled basement. Had everything we needed and things we did not know we needed

I had a wonderful birthday with my daughter and a few friends and could not have booked a more amazing place! There is plenty of room to spread out and we enjoyed the indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis as well as the game room! We cooked steaks on the grill and baked apple dump cake in the oven! There is plenty of things to explore just up the road and of course May the house was an added bonus! Thank you so much!

Misty Vale

This property is unique and fun. The eclectic decor and the quaint details make it wonderful for a group of middle age women. The porches and views were spectacular (except you need a swing or rockers). The close proximity to town just makes it better.
