Great stay!

Loved our stay here for our family of 6! Lots of room, big spaces, room on the couch for everyone! Kitchen is stocked fairly well, beach towels provided, and TV with lots of access to channels if you have logins. Enjoyed our stay!

Great family gathering place

The home was clean, and had great hang out spaces Lots of rooms and bathrooms. Close to restaurants and morning coffee. The walking distant beaches were rocky and were not accessible. Had to drive and park to go to Sandy beach. I would stay three again.

Beautiful home! Comfortable beds and couch!

We were 5 sisters over 50 on a weekend getaway! The only issues were it had a damp, musty smell that would come and go. The listing book said there was a complimentary bottle of wine but there was not. There was no dish pods or dishwasher liquid to start the dishwasher. But overall wonderful stay!

Perfectly appointed

We were so happy with this home for the 5 nights we stayed. The check in process was easy, complete with a binder detailing how to use the amenities. Communication was great. We were able to check in early and stay a bit late as our flight wasn’t until late. The home was clean, bright, and had everything we could have asked for. The owners really thought of everything to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the shampoo and conditioner to the wine glasses and complimentary bottle of wine, we wanted for nothing. Location was perfect. About 5 minute walk to the beach. Bars and restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Great location with walkability & a responsive host

We really enjoyed staying at Patrick's house. Our group of 7 visited Oceanside this June for a family reunion. Patrick was extremely responsive to my texts. It is always comforting to have a real host, and not some middleman management company, answering your questions. Probably the best selling feature is the walkability. Not only can you stroll to nearby businesses (coffee, donuts, pizza & bars) but it is a beautiful 20 minute walk to trendy downtown Carlsbad with its of restaurants & snack spots. You get to enjoy the view of the stunning estuary between Oceanside and Carlsbad. The rooftop deck was a cool place to hang out just to get a good look at the area. Just remember, "June Gloom" is a real thing!

Disappointing

While the accommodations for our family were adequate, there were many issues that made the stay less than acceptable. 1 - at least one of the beds was not clean as sand was in the sheets. The linen had to be was the next morning - this is absolutely unacceptable. 2 - No cleaning items were found to clean kitchen counters or table. Luckily, we took Clorox wipes. 3 - the condo did not have a broom or vacuum to sweep the floors. With little children, this was a huge issue for us. 4 - extra toilet paper was not accessible. Luckily a deliver box was found outside, when brought into the house, it was evident it was toilet paper. This should have been communicated to us by cleaning service or the owner. 5 - one ONE wash cloth was found in the entire facility. If wash clothes were not available, it should have been communicated in advance. 6 - the beach chairs were atrocious and unusable. 7 - the stove had two knobs that were difficult to operate as they just spinned around and it was difficult to determined if the burners were off. 8 - a child safety gate should be made available or minimally inform guest to bring one. We had to locate one to keep our little ones safe. Of all the homes we have rented in the past, this one left much to be desired and we will not be returning.

Was great

Truly enjoyed house and location. Just wanted to pass along info: Was strong odor entire stay of damp smell, like towels left wet in washer/dryer. No towels found, and smell was constant for stay.

Great for Family or Couples

Property was perfect for our family of 2 parents, 4 adult children and 1 grandchild. Location was great, easy access to freeway for venturing out or heading to beach a few blocks away. Also, walking access to pubs, restaurants, etc. Having access to the garage was wonderful, as parking is congested.

Perfect Place

Property was very clean and in a good location within walking distance to several local shops and restaurants. 10min walk to the ocean. Check in and out was super easy, the pack and play worked great for our little one. Would stay here again

Awesome Fall Break

This was much better than I was expecting , Very clean, the beds are so comfortable I haven’t slept this good, away from home. The Host was quick to answer any questions. It’s nice to have a garage with the property. I will definitely recommend . Marcia

We rented this place last minute and were more than pleased with how fabulous it was, very clean, comfy and fantastic owners! Will be back for sure. It was 7 crazy quilting friends that sewed all 4 days!

Perfect weekend

My family and I had a wonderful stay. It was my son’s 10th birthday. The kids had a blast. We also were able to bring our service dog for a very decent price. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The rooftop was a perfect place to wind down at the end of the day. The location was awesome with the beach, convenience stores, bars, restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Communication with the owner was very easy. Check in and out was easy, as well. We also left a few items and the owner was very gracious enough to help return them to us.

More than expected

First off, I wanted to say that we were honored to be the first guests at this property. I was a little nervous because there were no reviews. The place was better than what was pictured! Had everything that you would need to feel home! from A to Z basically! my family wanted to stay a few days extra because it was just so good. The only draw back for me was the staircase going to the 2nd floor where the kitchen and master was located. We did see a few homeless people in the back of the house, but it was not a problem. Parking in front of the house, and 2 car garage is included as well. The host allowed us to check in earlier and check out later. Which was super accommodating! Also he was very quick to reply. Love the self check in/out. The beach was 10 minute walk, stores and gas stations super close even walking distance. We really enjoyed eating on the balcony and the rooftop seating. Overall, we would love to stay at this property again!
