When you’re not swimming off the dock or cruising around on your boat, head into town to shop on the square, enjoy live entertainment, or embark on a fishing charter. Grab a bite at one of the local restaurants or return home to host a cookout on the patio.

Blue Heron Lake House Get Away With Abundant Wildlife

Blue Heron Lake House on Lake Grandbury was perfect for a weekend get away into nature but close enough to Grandbury Square for shopping. There was a view of the lake from almost every room. A Blue Heron loved to sit on top of the Dock House looking for fish. It was very easy to fish from the dock for catfish or bass. The kitchen was easy to cook in with a kitchen table for everyone to feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Blue Heron.

1. Too many bugs, - you need to exterminate if you want to have guests. The front opens, and have a million flying bugs come in. 2. The house smells very musty and old. 3. I spent more time cleaning the master bathroom toilet seat was filthy w urine, and pubic hairs on the seat. Kitchen was filthy cabinets, and appliances. I cleaned the countertops, and everything with Clorox wipes I had to buy. I also found a dead lizard, and large bug off the glass shelf in the living room. Found dead roaches in the master and the guest bedrooms. This place did not look like it had been cleaned in a long while. I was very disappointed in this stay.

Awesome Place

Girl’s weekend was awesome. Plenty of room for all of us. Everything we needed in the kitchen for meals with the cabinets labeled. Definitely want to go back.

Blue Cottage

This was a wonderful house on the lake. We met our friends at the house and had a great renunion with them. WE think we will return later this year... The kitchen, bathrooms and firewood are well stocked with the necessities! Thank you for offering your house to us for a break away.

Great view!

My family and I was only able to partially enjoy our stay at the, “Blue Heron Cottage”. This getaway for Christmas weekend started out great, but later turned out to be disappointing. The property is very spacious and the view of the lake is breathtaking. However we experienced several issues during our stay, we immediately noticed a pungent odor coming from the refrigerator. We also lost water pressure and access hot water on the last day. The temperatures outside were in the forties or below which caused the indoor temperature to be below normal. Unfortunately the house guideline book ask that you, “Do Not” adjust the thermostat. Our family of seven were unable to get comfortable or wash up the day before our departure. The property contact person was responsive but unable to resolve water issues. I hope this review is helpful.

HIgh School (Class of 61) Ladies Vacation

This property was a great place and VRBO pictures are up to date. Location is on open water and only a few steps to dock. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay very pleasant. Convenient location to visit Granbury or Weatherford. Beautiful sunrises. Excellent property management and easy check in to home.

Great by the Lake home

It was just a nice weekend get away! House was clean and comfortable. Everything was labeled & easily located. Beds were comfortable. It was so nice to wake up to beauty of the lake right out the back windows of the home!

Beautiful and cozy, amazing hosts, right on the lake, boat ramp within 2 min

One of the best places we have stayed on a lake. Beautifully decorated, very cozy, well stocked up with everything you need, including a pantry full of food, in case you arrive late and have hungry kids! The owners are wonderful, great communication, easy check in. The location is perfect for boat lovers - the private dock a few steps from the house and the boat ramp 3 min drive. Also, great place to swim right off the dock. We had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back again!
