Host was friendly and responsive. House was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and very well appointed in terms of kitchen utensils and settings. wi fi nice and strong. Beds comfortable. Amazing views!

The property was accurately described on the website. The bedrooms were clean and a good size. Kitchen had most everything we needed. Large dining table for family meals. Loved the deck and fire pit. It was a really warm weekend in October so we were swimming and enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. Large property was enjoyed by all.Large dock with lots of Muskoka chairs. Indy was very responsive with all our questions. The farmhouse is right beside the road but the traffic was minimal. Location easy to find. Convenient to Dwight or Huntsville. All plumbing worked well.Dishwasher needs updated racks but worked fine.

Beautiful place. Great bay. Everything you could need is supplied just bring food and clothing. Indy was very easy to communicate with. Couldn't ask for a better hostess. I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful, comfy farm house.

Cottage and location are amazing, we had 7 people stay and had plenty of room. The dock extends out so its great for swimming and everyone enjoyed the water toys that were included. Its nice and close to Huntsville and other small towns that offer plenty to do on a rainy day. The bay is super quiet with very little boat traffic so evening canoe and fishing excursions were very peaceful. We will plan on coming back in the future.

Our group of 8 really enjoyed our week long stay. The cottage is very well equipped. Kitchen has high quality appliances and flatware. Portage Road can be a bit noisy and the stairs in the cottage are a bit steep so a challenge for older folks.

The dock and view were absolutely perfect — we loved having the kayaks and paddle boards right there. The kids had a blast paddling over to the public dock for their daily lake-jumping sessions. Most evenings we ate dinner out on the deck, soaking in the view. There were so many thoughtful touches that made our stay extra comfortable, from the ice machine to the choice of coffee makers. Indy was incredibly responsive and made everything easy. A experience all around!

This was a wonderful location and we had everything we needed. The cottage is beautiful and cozy! I loved having the ensuite bathroom! I have already referred this property to friends and look forward to staying again.

Excellent stay. The host was very responsive, allowing for late check out and immediately in touch to provide an additional umbrella for shade. Warm lake, not too busy in terms of boats. Spectacular garden and fire pit area. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful stay!

Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage! We were a family of 8 plus our dogs and the cottage had more than enough space for all of us! It’s a very spacious cottage with comfy beds and big rooms! So many things to do on the water (paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming). A gorgeous firepit where we ended each night! The kitchen had everything we needed to make each meal. We spent 4 days there and wished we had stayed for longer. Plus it’s a short drive to local stores or Huntsville if you need anything. Would definitely book this place again

Beautiful property

The view was spectacular, however the beds and couches could be upgraded to something a little more comfortable. There were many ants in the house. So much space to relax and plenty of seating. Very peaceful area.

Beautfiul, Scenic Stay

We had a winter Holiday, so were out skiing alot, home late, but really enjoyed our mornings in the little kitchen nook, fully engulfed in sunshine ! Watching all the ice fishers and snowmobilers on the lake. Loved our stay. Great neighbours too !

Fabulous Christmas Vacation!

The Farm House Cottage was just perfect for our Christmas vacation. The host is outstanding and went the extra mile in every way. Magical decorations in a very well appointed cottage. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend booking this fabulous cottage. Very close to Huntsville, we had fun going to Santa’s Village and Back of Beyond Equine Centre for an iconic sleigh ride in the woods! The cottage is very cosy with fabulous lake views, a great property! Will happily rent again!

Beautifully Restored Waterfront Farmhouse

The property manager, Indy, was extremely helpful in making check in and check out very easy and by quickly responding to any and all questions. The property itself is a beautifully restored old farmhouse that is situated directly on Lake of Bays. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property. The only caveat I might offer would be if you are travelling with elderly or handicapped family members. Being an old farmhouse, the stairs are pretty steep and narrow and could be quite difficult for them to navigate.

Cottage was very well equipped and as described. Lots of space and very comfortable. The host, Indy, was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend. Great location on a beautiful lake.

Well stocked with most everything you could want

The house deck was great with 2 entrances and fantastic seating outside with great views of the water for 8+ adults. Kitchen was well stocked with all the basics (lots of plates bowls, cups, glasses, knives, utensils and plenty of cooking acessories (parchment, tin foil, dishwasher soap, etc) Beds were comfy. Property is lovely. Caveates: VERY close the road for dogs, entrance patio bricks sunken and a bit of a tripping hazard

Farmhouse Cottage

The farmhouse cottage was overall a great experience. The cottage itself was very clean, and the bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and clean. The cottage is close to both Dwight (where there is a Grocery Store as well as Ericka’s Bakery, great coffee, baked yummies and other goodies) and Huntsville. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces, including the fire pit, the dock (with an array of watercrafts, an addition of a water lily for kids would be great) and the outdoor seating areas from which you can see both the vista of the lake and pretty property. We had six adults, two kids and one dog with us and it was very comfortable. Like other reviews have mentioned, the cottage is situated close to a two-lane District Road and while it was not an issue for us, should be kept in consideration, depending on your circumstances. Thank you Indy for a wonderful week up North!
