Great get away

Had a great time at the cabin. Everything you would want for a snowy getaway. Hoste was very responsive with questions.

Family snow vacation

Overall impressions are good. The only issue was the carbon monoxide alarm started beeping (low battery beep) at 8 pm. We couldn’t find it, and at first thought it was a smoke alarm. Texted and called the owner. Took over half hour to get any response. Find the beeping in a locked closet, no lights inside the upstairs bathroom. The 2 and 5 yr old were up past 10 with the beeping and banging. Owner just left message saying that she didn’t know what to do.

Perfect for a snow stay

Great location and the property is well thought out, clean, and comfortable. Would appreciate a bit more soundproofing in upstairs bedroom that is over the kitchen, but kids tired enough after a day in the snow to not care too much. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a hardy meal after a fun ski day.

Perfect Family Cabin

This cabin was the perfect size for our group of 4, plus an infant and 2 dogs. It was located far enough from the main road and the neighborhood was quiet and calm. It was a short drive to Pinecrest Lake but we ended up staying in the cabin most of the time we were there, just relaxing. The host, Margo was very responsive and gave very clear directions for check in. The fireplace was my favorite part, it kept the house very warm for its size and was perfect for the cold nights. The living room and kitchen were spacious enough for all for of us to be lounging or cooking at the same time. I definitely recommend a stay at this cabin if you're looking for a relaxing stay in the forest.

Perfect home base

This was the perfect spot for us to visit our favorite vacation lake, go for hikes and bike rides, and return to a restful cozy home base for the evening. Morning and evening on the deck was sweet, too! The neighborhood is quiet and secluded. The furnishings are comfortable and the home is well stocked with supplies, as described.

A wonderful High Sierra getaway

The property exceeded our group of three's expectations for cleanliness, amenities and quality of hosting. Two of us (myself and a cousin) had spent childhood summers at the nearby Cow Creek Summer Home Tract and this week-long visit brought back memories and helped make new ones. The owners' rep Margo did an excellent job helping us get settled and making us comfortable for our week-long stay, with clear instructions provided in a guest handbook.

We like the fact that there was a fenced yard, helped with the dog and kids. It was located exactly where we expected, close to the river for fishing. We had an issue with another cabin, not through Vrbo, that was not located at the address in the posting. The only issue was the garage door didn't close. We were told before we left of this issue. The door from the "play room" didn't lock, so we felt that we couldn't allow the kids to be in the room too late at night.

This cabin is great. Perfect for our family for my MIL 85 bday. Close to Pinecrest. Peaceful. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen. Nice outdoor space. Excellent communication with the property manager. Loved it.

Forest retreat

We had a lovely stay in the strawberry chalet. The communication was very clear. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. A beautiful quiet neighbor and very close to the lake. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and napping in the hammock out back. A great place to reconnect with family and create memories.

Great Cabin!

We had a great time in the cabin this last weekend. The place was well equipped with everything you will need for cooking. The backyard is very open for the kids to play in the snow with no worries of cars traffic. The place was warm and cozy with a very nice wood fireplace. We would definitely go back next year to enjoy the snow.

Bad communication

We checked in 2hours after, check in time… the place was not cleaned, construction dust everywhere, beds unmade and looked liked recently slept in. Tre guest representative we were given as contact was unreachable for over 4 hours and then blamed the cleaners. Called the management company and they said homeowners forget to notify anyone they had workers staying and working at the house. Booked this stay several months ago and got confirmations that all was ready up until day or our arrival.

Great host!

Best host! There was a problem w/ heat and supplies that Margo quickly resolved...she was very responsive and very nice. Location was great, but property could have been a little cleaner. I wiped down surfaces and washed bedding and blankets before use, and there were big bags of garbage piled up outside the door, that remained there; we added our garbage bags to the pile. Don't leave garbage at end of driveway like the host book says; animals got into it and we had a huge mess to clean up. Other than that, we had a great time and again, Margo was awesome!
