It rained most of 2 days while we were here, but the covered outside porch still offered us the chance to be outside as the temperature was perfect. House has everything you want...

What a wonderful home with a beautiful view! The house was one of the most well stocked places we have stayed at and had everything we needed for the stay. We loved the back porch for lounging and dining. The beach was awesome and we had fun kayaking, swimming, and collecting rocks. We followed the advise of an earlier review to bring swim shoes and had no issues. Can't wait to stay again when in the area!

Expansive beautiful lakefront property. Fire pit on the lawn was awesome & we did like the covered porch too. Some steep stairs to the beach, but well worth it as it is a huge beach area that’s fairly private. You do need water shoes with the rocks-but we expected that on Lake Huron. House was comfortable for all of us, including the pooch. Definitely recommend this property; owner was very sweet/easy to work with. Only complaint was the grill didn’t work the best.

Very nice place beautiful scenery. The interior had alot of spiders and spider webs, it felt abit unclean. The patio furniture outside was dirty and unusable. Overall we enjoy the location, the cottage, the outdoors. Cottage was good size and spacious for meals and games. The outdoors was wonderful for BBQ, bonfires and kayaking. Thank you.

The week was very nice, however i feel that I'm the description of the beach it needs to be exposed that it is full of rocks, we had to make a run to Walmart to get water shoes, my grandson cut his foot in the rocks, the neighbors had the same experience with having to get water shoes!

Birthday getaway

My sister and I stayed here about four years ago, and we really liked it. When I asked her what she wanted for her big milestone birthday this year, she wanted to spend a week here. She and I and our little dog enjoyed a relaxing week. Before we left for this vacation, I emailed our host and explained the significance. I asked if it would be possible to surprise my sister with a birthday cake on her special day. adding that if it would be too much trouble, I would understand. Not only was Greg willing to do that, he asked what her favorite flavor of cake is. He provided the most delicious chocolate cake we had ever eaten. We enjoyed that cake all week and probably gained 5 pounds too, but it was worth it. My sister said it was one of her best birthdays ever. Thank you, Greg and Paula, for making this celebration so unique and enjoyable!

Great experience

Always love visiting here! Had our wedding on the beach last year and came back this year for our anniversary ❤️ Love all the new updates including the amazing large covered deck in the back. Always plenty of towels, utensils, blankets, etc. Will definitely book again!

Forestville paradise

We had a wonderful time. The beach was so private & enjoyable. Glad we brought beach tent. Fire pit & wood provided were great! Chairs at bluff & at beach were perfect! Large porch provided great way to enjoy family time & space for gentle activities like morning coffee, hula hoop, catch, two square. Dry place on rainy day! Kitchen was perfect work area with all necessary things. But, smell of the cottage when we walked in was very off putting. We opened windows & aired rooms out for several hours. BBQ was very dirty from last users, propane tank stuck shut & BBQ igniter broken, so we couldn’t use it. Stairs into cottage were very awkward to navigate. Check out required doing bed/bath laundry down awkward basement staircase. Many steps down to each, but worth it as beach was great & private!

Overall good

Location was perfect, we spent most of our time on the beach which was wonderful. Communication with host leading up to our trip was great, they were always very helpful and quick to respond. Only complaint/down side of the property was that there were LOTS of bugs in the house. Lots of little fruit flies (even when we first checked in, so it wasn't from food we had out). Other than that our stay was great.

Great place, nice hosts, definitely recommend.

Lovely property, but for the cleaning fee we are required to pay, I didnt expect spiders in a very intricate web strung out on the light over the dining roon table. Nor did I expect old coffee grounds in the coffee pot with mold in it, or a thick layer of dust on the ceiling. I was told there was no light by the backdoor, which also had 2 steps on it. Thats a tripping hazzard when its dark. I also don't think I should have ti start lau dry before I leave, not for the cleaning fee we pay. This was a lovely property, the hosts were very nice. Although there was a little left to be desired in cleaning, the host addressed my concerns that same day. This place was well stocked wirh towels blankets, and anything else we could need. I would definitely recommend it!

Little piece of Heaven

This cottage by Lake Huron is beautiful, the house is very nice and the owners have thought of everything! We spent most of the time outside and really enjoyed the fire pit, the seats near the bluff and the picnic tables. The big dining room table made each dinner together with all of the family extra special. We visited the near by parks, Wagner Park is a must! And the little city of Harbor Beach was great for a quick trip to dollar general or to Ernestos for pizza! Our family had a great time!

Ok Getaway

Great private beach for the neighborhood. However rental next door was very close. So we didn’t get the quiet getaway that we were expecting. Group renting house next door was a large group of very young adults who stayed up late having a good time. They were nice, but not quiet. House was ok. Overall pretty clean and kitchen was stocked with essentials. However there was food in cabinet dated with an expiration date of 2022. Bed was not so comfortable, but blankets and comforters were super soft. Biggest disappointment was the patchy, slow access to internet and TV channels. I had some work that I needed to do while on vaca and the internet access prevented me from accomplishing it in a reasonable amount of time. While VRBO listing noted internet access, it failed to mention slow and not reliable internet or cell service.

Highly recommend

Our group, ranging from 76 to 1 years old, had a lovely stay. The house is very well equipped with anything you might need-paper towels, toilet paper, spices, toys, games, firewood. The house was very clean and has an open layout. The hosts are very responsive. I highly recommend this home and plan to return in the future.

Perfect getaway

While the photos are beautfiul, they still do not quite do it justice. The view alone makes it worth the stay! The home has an open layout and plenty of room for guests, It was fully equipped with anything that we could have needed, from last minute condiments we forgot to an emergency power outage kit. VERY well thought out! The hike down the bluff to the is certainly worth it, a private beach with a fire pit and kayaks! We can not wait to come again!

A beautiful location and home!

A very beautiful location on the water, with beach . The owners Greg & Paula were outstanding with commutation and correcting issues I brought up to their attention. I would highly recommend anyone with or without kids would love this place. Hope to stay there again in the future.

This is a nice property with a great view and a very nice beach. The house is comfortable and well organized for guests. We had a great time.
