Diamond lake waterfront cottage just west of Bancroft

Welcome to our recently renovated cottage. Cate (my wife) stills gives me a hard time about a 3 year renovation after she passingly mentioned a little more space would be nice lol.

Due to busy schedules we haven't used the cottage very much in the fall and winter and thought it might be nice for others to explore the bancroft area we have come to love so much.

Our cottage has an open concept living space with satelite TV, internet, and a gas fireplace. There are 4 bedrooms 1-king bed, 1- queen bed, 2 single beds, and a twin over double bunk. There are 2 bathrooms one with a tub and one with a stand up shower.

The cottage has central heating and has lots to offer for all seasons. There are hiking trails, biking, parks, and other seasonal attractions. Atv'ing, snowmobiling, fishing/ice fishing are also very popular

The town of bancroft is a 15 minute drive and has everything you would need. 2 grocery stores, canadian tire, shoppers drug mart, lots of restaurants.

Lovely beds, beautiful view. Kitchen could use a kettle! The hot water from the coffee maker doesn’t make very good tea. Propane stove was tricky. Particularly the oven.

Spacious and comfortable cottage with a great south-facing location on Diamond Lake. Kayak and paddleboard work nicely and PFD's etc. readily available in the shed. BBQ and propane good to go. A hidden gem, like Diamond Lake itself. Hopefully next year there will not be an extended drought. Wells on these lakes were starting to run dry late in the season.

Absolutely perfect. Huge, gorgeous interior and the scenery is breathtaking. Aside from the sounds of chipmunks, birds and owls, it is dead quiet. The water is very clean, warm and perfect to swim in. There’s a beach across the lake which is visible from the dock that is a must to visit. 18 minutes to town where you’ll find a No Frills, LCBO, Beer Store, Dollarama and a few other places. Bodies of water everywhere and zero bugs. Sean was easy to reach and the cottage had everything we needed.
What you’ll wake up to every morning.

Beautiful Cottage

We stayed at this cottage with friends and our kids this past weekend and loved it. Very clean and lots of space for everyone. The lake is beautiful and there are lots of outdoor activities available for all ages. Great for swimming and nice location for the fire pit (right on the water).

Lovely fall weekend

We had a great stay at this cottage recently. There is a beautiful view of the lake and lots of fun things for the kiddos to do on the property. We'd go back again!

Favourite lake

This cottage was newer and very spacious and well appointed. The location on Diamond Lake is fantastic. A quiet spot for quiet people. The provided kayaks and paddleboards make it easy to get out on the lake.

My husband, out dogs and myself had an absolutely wonderful week at Sean's gorgeous cottage on Diamond Lake! The location and views are fabulous, the cottage is beautiful and comfortable and very centrally located to Bancroft. The lake is clean and quiet and great for swimming. Sean is a super host, very communicative and friendly. We had the best week and will definitely be back!

Fabulous property

Amazing property with easy road access. Very clean and welcoming cottage. Owners care that you have a good stay and suggest nearby amenities. Beautiful deck that overlooked the lake. Modern open concept cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners are available to answer any questions. Great vacation in scenic spot.

Great Time Had By All

Clean, fancy, great space. Everyone in the party thought it was a good find. We’re planning on booking again. Water toys to explore the lake, water is shallow and nice enough for swimming close to the cottage. Reasonably priced compared to others.

Bancroft Cottage Getaway

The listing was amazing! Was able to get up for a weekend in May to celebrate 2 close friends birthdays. The cottage was beautiful with a true northern Canadian feel to it with a lake view you can’t beat. Thank you to Sean for the easy process of booking and for accommodating when the initialed dates booked for were not available. Highly recommend if looking to get out of the city!

An amazing Family Getaway

A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a good time by the lake! Lots to do at the water, beautiful fire pit, lots of outdoor seating, just a short drive to the town of bancroft that has everything you need! The cottage was well stocked with bedding, pillows, and essentials. Inside was beautifully decorate and very cozy! Lots of sleep space. A well stocked kitchen amd beautiful back deck! We had a wide range of ages from 5 months to retirment age and we all had a blast!

Amazing stay on Diamond Lake

My husband and I and our pup had an amazing time at Sean's cottage. The settings could not be more beautiful in the fall. Great waterfront property that's a mix between modern and traditional. Sean was easy to reach and really responsive. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bed is comfortable (although we only stayed in the master bed). I don't think the pictures do this place justice. We will be back for sure.

Winter Weekend on Diamond Lake

We are a group of friends who have been getting together for canoe trips and winter trips for over 40 years. We are now age 60 plus. We booked this cottage as a central location for our travels. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and the location. The owner, Sean, made sure we had all we needed to make our weekend successful and gave us detailed instructions about the workings of the building and grounds. He was flexible with arrival/departure times and quite accomodating. Communication was great except for one small hiccup on the week of the booking, when an email reply didn't come as expected, but a phone call a couple hours later resolved everything. Our group was impressed with the comfort and functionality the cottage provided for us and the beauty of the location on Diamond Lake.

Perfect cottage get away

We stayed at Sean's family cottage for a weekend to attend a wedding in the area. Sean was responsive to communication, friendly and check in/out was simple. The cottage was clean as a whistle with very nice decor. It was warm & comfortable on the cool nights. The thermostat was easy to use. We were a party of four adults but had family dropping in & out who were staying in the area. The kitchen/great room was cozy with a spectacular view of the lake & the perfect spot to gather with friends & family. The kitchen was well stocked & functional. The Weber BBQ was a dream :). The furniture & beds were very nice and comfortable. There was plenty of bedding & towels. There was lots of seating inside & out and the deck was a lovely spot to hang out. The small loft area looking on to the great room would be a hit with small children. The cottage was well set up for children & pets. The lakefront/dock had a lovely view of the lake with lots of Adirondack chairs. The large open lawn in front of the cottage ( with a trampoline for kids) would be a great spot for kids, and adults, to play. We didn't use the firepit but it was a nice feature with plenty of firewood. Thanks to Sean & his family for sharing their cottage - it is 5 star for sure!

We are a family of 4 living in Brooklin. We have 2 young daughters that are growing up quickly!!! We originally bought the cottage in 2015 and after spending a few years on the lake decided to renovate and create a space for friends and family to enjoy.

Why this property? That is a good question.....Since I did most of the work myself I am a bit biased lol. I built the space to be keep a more rustic cottage feel with modern amenities. The waterfront has a nice sandy entry into the lake which is great for little ones. There is no lack of outdoor activities all year round and the scenery is beautiful!!
