Spacious waterfront getaway with private dock access — perfect for fishing, family fun, and coastal relaxation.
Welcome to Crusty Crab, a comfortable and well-equipped retreat located just two miles before the Grand Isle bridge, overlooking the bay and directly across from Elmer’s Island. With plenty of parking, outdoor space, and a convenient dock, this camp is ideal for fishing trips, family gatherings, or a peaceful weekend on the water. Easy Kayak Access with the private boat access on the property.

Pet Friendly: Pets are welcome with prior approval from management and an additional fee.

This place is perfect for fishing, especially kayak fishing. You can watch where you're parked under the house clean fish under the house. AC is cold as ice. Great location good times.

We had a great stay! Our 9 year old grandson made his first solo flight to Louisiana to go fishing with his Paw Paw G. The Crusty Crab was the perfect place to spend the weekend! We enjoyed the camp side dock, and the place was clean with everything easy to locate. We’re definitely going to stay there again.
The minute we drove up he was on the pier.

Great location. Check-in was easy. The house offered all that we needed for a wonderful trip, including fish cleaning station and great area for our crab boils.

Great place to stay

This place was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and comfortable. The water was very shallow at low tide and it would’ve been nice to have a dishwasher. But it was great for us as a home base to fish from.

Access to water

Crusty Crab was in a great location. However, there was trash, high grass and non- useful débris around the lower area of the camp. Camp was cozy and comfortable. It could've been cleaner. Examples, the lower toilet had not been cleaned. Urin all around lower toilet. Air vents had mildew / mold on them. Mattress pad had gross stains when taking sheet's off for cleaning crew. Doors barley opened for entry due to rubbing floor stopping the door from opening.

Great place and location

The camp was very nice, easy access for the boat and nice fish cleaning station. Would definitely stay at the crusty crab again.

A Wonderful Adventure

Very Clean; the camp came as advertised and was perfectly located in the area we fish at. We caught many big trout using kayaks just hundreds of yards from the camp. We had a fantastic time. There was one problem though,....our trip was not long enough.

The camp was outstanding except for all those steps up and down.

We had a great time, the camp was very clean and comfortable. All the appliances needed like at home. My only issue was all those steps up and down, I'm a 100% disabled Vet and the steps near killed me,LOL. I give this camp a 5 star rating. Also located smack in the middle of all the road side fishing minutes from the camp.

Great property in the perfect location

Check in was a little rocky I kept trying the code that was sent however it would not work, I texted the property manager and they were very quick to respond but kept saying to put the same code in. I was like could they have forgot to change the code from last time and then once I said that the property manager gave me that code and it worked. MINOR issue but very frustrating at night using your phone as a flashlight trying to get in. The property was very comfortable perfect for a guys weekend of fishing. We did a charter fishing trip with Riptide and they were awesome guides! Highly recommend this property it was perfect for our needs for that weekend.
