Classic Kiwi Bach at Sunset Beach

Only 2 mins to Sunset Beach and 3 mins to Maraetai Bay - put out the Contiki, go for a surf, soak up the sun, or watch the sun sink slowly in the West.

This cute 1960's 2-bedroom Bach has an open plan kitchen and lounge which flow out to a sunny spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat. Made even more enjoyable with the Breville coffee machine and coffee grinder which are included.

We now also have a newly installed hot outdoor shower. Wash the salt and sand away in comfort.

Gas hot water, a separate toilet, and inside laundry make living easy. There is also a heatpump for perfect temperature inside year round.

Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, and bedroom 2 includes a single bed plus a double bunk set. This is a great wee set up for a family beach escape!

The spacious double garage includes a table tennis table which makes for a fun games area. The fully fenced 809 sqm offers safety for the kids and room to spread out.

This Bach is within walking distance to Sunset Beach, Maraetai Bay, the Port Waikato Holiday Park, Sundays Coffee Shop, and Sunset Takeaways for great fish and chips. During the summer months the surf beach is protected by surf lifeguards.

We will only rent our property to people who have some previous bookabach or AIrBNB feedback.

Wonderful spot!

We had a great stay, thank you! The bach is just as described, cosy and warm and the beds are super comfy. It's a great spot for kids to play in the fenced garden. We enjoyed the table tennis and the short walk the the beach where the coffee was excellent too.

Amazing time

We really enjoyed our mini getaway at this comfortable bach. Very family friendly with everything we needed to enjoy our stay including loads of board games and puzzles, wifi, smart tv, aircon, modern well equipped kitchen, new bbq, great coffee maker machine too. Just a short stroll to Sunset beach, a hiking trail with fantastic views and sand dunes. All of which we packed in for the long weekend. The lovely hosts were very accomodating with us postponing our trip due to the recent storms. Glad we made it down here. It’s a hidden gem from the usual tourist hotspots so not overly crowded which was lovely. Would gladly come back thanks Mike/Sarah.

Short wander for magnificent waves!

Ngā mihi nui Sarah and Mike for sharing your lovely haven, which provided perfectly for our busy group of six. We lived two full days in the ocean - happiest adults and kids (fantastic surf life saving team). On our drizzly day we explored the op shops of nearby Pukekohe and the kids happily ran table tennis tournaments. Really appreciated your swift communication with us and generous response / accomodation to our individualised request. All ages are so keen to return. Until next time, many thanks!
