We were in Braidwood for a family wedding and the location was perfect - between the church and the reception, close to cafes and shops. The house itself was clean and spacious and well equipped. We would definitely recommend and were only sorry we didn’t stay longer.

Wedding celebration

We came for a family wedding and although a wonderful it rained heavily for most of our stay. The house wa fabulous and allowed us to enjoy ourselves staying at home while avoiding the rain while in between wedding functions.

Underwhelmed

The fireplace is not to Australian Standard/Code. Anybody who chooses to stay here please be aware of the associated danger.

We always appreciate honest feedback and strive to improve where we can so every stay is an overwhelmingly positive experience. We are addressing some clearer instructions for guests using the fire place. For context, this guest lit the fire place and left the property for several hours. They hadn’t opened the required vents and the fire smoked the entire house out for about 3 hours before the guests arrived back. Across all platforms we have had more than 50 different groups, regular use of the fire place and never a single complaint or issue. You can read the reviews. I guess you can’t please everyone, but we will continue to try.

Hidden Gem in Braidwood

A large group of us were staying in Braidwood for a nearby wedding and we were so happy to have stayed at this property. From the outside it does look a little haunted, however once upstairs and inside it was so beautiful and cosy, and arty. I actually wish we weren't so busy so we had more time at the house to cook and utilise the kitchen and lounge room area. This host has thought of every amentity. From coffee, to shower products to beautiful bedding and towels. It was honestly so pleasant. Thank you so much for having us and if I know of anyone else attending a wedding at Mona Farm I'll recommend this place.

Thank you Lauren and friends, we are so glad you were able to enjoy a little bit of Marguerite House 🏠 during your time in Braidwood. We feel similarly about the living space and the kitchen does invite you to cook that’s for sure! It’s very kind of you to write a lovely review for us, it’s certainly helpful for future guests. We hope you’ll stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed a stay at Marguerite House. The location was perfect for wandering around Braidwood, and the home itself was perfect for our family of five. There was a brown out on our first night there, and Jacqui was amazing at keeping us up to date with the situation, which was fixed by the local power provider quickly. All in all, it was a very relaxing and comfortable stay.
