Built by designer-artist duo Agathe and Desmond Lazaro, La Vie En Rose is a consciously designed refuge nestled in the lush green Auroville region.

A true sanctuary of beauty, the eco-aware villa is built to enhance deep rest and self-healing.

Located to the east of Auroville, it is within walking distance of famous eateries like Bread & Chocolate, Tanto, Farmfresh and Auroville Bakery.
The space
The Villa itself is surrounded by lush green Auroville forest of about 3000 Acres and many cashew fields.

Built with a lot of care and creativity by Designer Agathe Lazaro and her Artist husband Desmond Lazaro, this was their family home before they relocated to Australia.

The house is oriented so that it naturally catches the sea breeze and has ample natural lighting.
All first-floor bedroom doors have jalousies that must be lifted up and blocked to create cross-ventilation, along with the mesh door on the opposite side of the room- keep the glass door slid open.

Please refrain from using AC, before having tried cross ventilating, is it better for your health, minimising the risk of getting a cold, and headaches?
It is also better for the health of the planet.

The internal electrical circuits are built-in loops so that there is no electromagnetic radiation eroding your energetic bodies, and you will be surprised by the quality of your sleep, off course if you too, switch your mobiles to plane mode.

You will find yourself breathing differently in the house, as the serenity of the place and its lights are inviting to deep calmness.

The house can be rented per room or in the totality of the 5 rooms, as a private villa.
Guest access
Pondicherry heritage city is about 10 Kilometers away and different modes of transportation are available to reach, there is a community transport organized by Auroville thrice a day back and forth, there are rickshaws, bikes for hire and taxis. We also have in house transport available to nearby drops and pickups at a very nominal cost.
Other things to note
We wish to inform you that we are undertaking a new pool construction work on the front lawn and a portion of it will be concealed for safety measures.

There is still the side lawn available and ample area around.
We will make every effort to make your stay comfortable.

From July onward the night charge will be 30000Rs/night for the entire Villa.
