Relax with a stroll along the beach or stay by the pool. Share family moments, build happy memories, and restore your wellbeing. The home that has everything you need for a break. You can choose to wander to the beach, relax at home, do both or do nothing.
The tranquil beach is only three minutes’ walk through a bushland park where you can frequently see red breasted Kingfishers, along the shore you can wander at your own pace. The beach is secluded, and the bay is shallow. At low tide you can walk for hundreds of metres into the tidal basin listening to nothing but the lapping waves. If you prefer some exercise, you can take the SUPs for a paddle.
The house is fully equipped with everything you need to relax, children can play in the pool while you watch them from a lounger or from the al fresco area while making a BBQ. Older family members can play a game of pool inside.
The Fraser coast is a perfect jumping off point for the World Heritage Listed Fraser Island and for whale watching tours. The Fraser Coast is easily accessible from Brisbane, the drive is approximately three and a half hours from the CBD. The home is a short drive to the centre of Hervey Bay and to the local shopping centres.

Overall it is a great place, very comfortable and Ross and Nela replied stright away when we messaged them and were always very helpful. Check in is late compared to most places, and check out is early in relation to check in. Even with late check in, floors were still wet when we arrived and not everything you expect for a stay of over a week and for seven people was provided. Could do with a few more comfortable pillows. However, very clean, beautiful and comfortable, and close to all amenities.

Great house, room for everyone. Really pleasant stay. Loved seeing Kangaroos in a nearby park. Great air con and pool, enjoyed the pool table too.

Spacious house, great location and modern equipped home

This property is truly an excellent house to holiday in. It is quite large in size and fit 2 seperate families (4 adults & 4 kids) comfortably. Modern kitchen and appliances, air conditioning works wonderfully and so does the BBQ. Pool was beautiful as well. Location is closer to the water where we used the 2 SUP's provided and they were excellent. Only a short walk to the water. Ross & Nela's communication was excellent. Only a text message and call away. Highly recommend this house and would definitely visit again.

Beautiful place to stay

A brilliant property that catered for all our family, six adults and one baby. Pool was fantastic and well used over the summer.

Pt. Vernon on the park

The home was well situated with natural bush at the back and park at the side. Very clean and neat and allergy free. All the bed space needed for 8 people. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious. Only 20 minutes from the Urangan pier, market and whale watching. Pool was great even though small. Billiard table was a hit. Needed fans in the unairconditioned bedrooms and a couple more rolls of toilet paper. We had an excellent stay and would recommend this home to anyone who wants a quieter place with lots of room for people.

Point Vernon Retreat

Beautiful house in bushland setting with plenty of room for our group of 5 girls enjoying our annual getaway. I would definitely recommend if you want plenty of space in a tranquil location.

Lovely family home

We visited with my parents and our children. The kids loved the pool and the pool table, and there was heaps of space for all of us. It was a great place to stay during our visit to Hervey Bay.

Large house in a great private location

We had an amazing week away. The house was so much bigger than we were expecting from the images and all of it was modern and beautiful. The pool is such a welcome addition and was used daily by the kids and adults alike. It literally is only a 3 minute walk to the secluded beach through the bushland, with stand up paddleboards available to use, we enjoyed our daily trips to the beach for a paddle. We had 4 adults and 4 kids stay for the week with plenty of space for everyone and plenty to keep us all busy. The pool table was also a welcome addition and a big hit with the adults. We all had such a wonderful time and would definitely return.

We are a family of three that originally found Hervey Bay when we were a family of two touring Australia in a Juicy van. We stayed here as a stop off prior to a day tour of the amazing Fraser Island. Later as a family of three we returned to get out of Brisbane for a bit and found the time to explore the area further, we stumbled upon Point Vernon by chance and just loved walking out onto the sand flats unable to see another person, cocooned by the breeze and the sound of the lapping waves.

The sunset walks around the bay are wonderful, the area attracts mostly local crowd, mostly residents walking their dogs, you can often find that you have the beach all to yourself.

The house offers both a swimming pool and pool table for entertainment, making the home a perfect getaway from the city. The bay is breathtakingly relaxing and beautiful. The wider Hervey Bay contains plenty of distractions and Fraser island is easily accessible.
