Woodside Country Retreat....home with a view

Woodside Country Retreat is situated in the foothills of Mt Baw Baw National Park at the base of Mt. Torongo a five kilometre drive off Mt Baw Baw tourist road on well maintained gravel.

The rammed earth house is beautifully positioned on top of a hill with a majestic Gippsland forest backdrop overlooking unforgettable views facing distant ranges and green pastures where cattle graze.

Enjoy the tranquility of this 120 acre property and/or visit local attractions around Noojee and Mt Baw Baw.

The space
Two separate living rooms one upstairs, three bedrooms, one in the loft, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, bath, shower and wood heater ensure a comfortable stay. Firewood is provided for indoor fire only.

TV is provided. Internet and phone reception available through most providers.

Car is necessary to reach destination. Car parking available on site

Countryside paradise

Our family of 5 and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vesper. The property is stunning. The cows came up the the house in the evening to say hello and the wild deer honked as they trotted by. The kids were entertained with board games and DVDs and the adults enjoyed the vast CD collection (almost identical to the collection we once had!). We had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Thank you.

What a beautiful location. Perfect place to get away from it all. Great location and great amenities, everything you need. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful place to relax and restore

This charming rammed earth cottage is set in such a tranquil spot with lovely views in all directions. Some natural bush on the property and lots of great walks nearby. Very comfortable beds and sofas and two living areas gave space for our family with adult daughters as well as room for us all to gather. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere so restful. Had everything we needed except washing machine/dryer were out of action for our stay. Telstra coverage was good in evenings and early morning but dropped away during the day which was odd- but helped with the relaxing! Absolutely loved our stay here.

Beautiful country retreat

So cosy , comfortable and clean. All the creature comforts were supplied and plenty of games and books to keep the kids entertained. Beautiful views. Very relaxing little break.

Lovely experience

It was a nice, relaxing getaway. Location is beautiful and serene, kids had so much fun exploring the property and the countryside, including Toorongo Falls, Alpine Trout Farm & Mt Baw Baw. Liz was a great host and the holiday home is very quaint and cozy. Would recommend!

Relaxing weekend getaway

Very cosy and beautiful views! We had a relaxing time, going for walks and to the trout farm, playing board games by the fire etc.. host was very helpful and kind.

Private getaway amongst stunning surrounds

Woodside is a gorgeous property far away from the hustle and bustle. We felt so relaxed and secluded, and enjoyed the wood fire and the campfire outside. Property information was very comprehensive and communication with the hosts excellent - thanks very much for a wonderful few days!
