Shearers Quarters is a self contained cottage set in Chelston Farm. It is a unique slice of New Zealand farming history. It has a beautiful private outlook with the sights and sounds of the country. It is a unique opportunity to stay in a cottage with all the modern comforts and beautiful views. Close to native bush, abundant bird life and all grades of walking from the fit to the frail. Established gardens, wonderful elevated views out to sea. Absolute seclusion peace and natural beauty.

Excellent stay

Stunning remote location for a weekend getaway and we loved every minute of it. Host Mike is very friendly, we would recommend this place to stay and will be back for sure :)

Great stay

Beautifully located area in port levy, very much enjoyed our stay with my partner and large bulldog. Mike was so helpful always knew where he was if we needed anything or had any questions but also gave us so much privacy and made us comfortable on our short stay, very easy to deal with and friendly will definitely be back!

Quirky and rustic!

We loved our stay in this cottage, very reminiscent of an old Kiwi batch. The bed was very comfortable. The bird song and the views superb.

We so LOvE this place!

Its now our sercet, so we really dont want to share, we are going to keep coming back for weekends away and the proposed motorbike tours around Banks Peninsula.

Perfect Paradise

An idyllic retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Perfect peace, void of the sound of traffic, just birdsong and a picturesque valley view. Congenial host. We will definitely stay again.

beautiful and quiet

The wee cottage is beautiful and peaceful - extremely dog friendly and welcoming. Sitting with morning coffee with the double doors wide open looking out at the valley and ocean in distance was bliss. We were surprised at how warm it was for the beginning of winter and Mike the owner is so easy going

Most tranquil place I have ever stayed

This spot is amazing, the photos do not do it justice. We were spoilt with amazing weather, went for a short drive to port levy wharf and went for a swim. Property has everything you need with plenty of places to explore. Mike was great! Love your slice of paradise!

Away from the world

Amazing location, allows one to get away completely and just relax. Replacing the tired curtains will make the cottage even better. Mike is a lovely host.
