Escape to a truly private and peaceful retreat at our off-grid home, where comfort meets nature. This unique getaway offers a spacious, comfortable yurt with a large veranda that provides impressive views across the valley, stretching as far as the Queensland border. The second veranda looks out over a stunning subtropical rainforest, enhancing the feeling of tranquility.
The interior of the yurt is filled with beautiful handcrafted stained glass lighting, original artwork, and thoughtful touches designed to make your stay special. There's also an outdoor fire pit, ready to set the mood for a magical evening under the stars.

Our home is powered entirely by a stand-alone solar system, which is one of the reasons why we can be so far off the beaten path.Enjoy the sustainable living experience.Despite being off-grid, we haven’t sacrificed comfort. Inside, you’ll find cozy chairs in front of the high-definition TV, and there are books games to enjoy while relaxing on the outdoor hammock.

For cooking, we’ve got a classic 'Weber Q' BBQ on the front veranda—one recent guest said it was the best roast he had ever cooked!

We are located on a no-through road, 600 meters from the farm gate, ensuring true privacy.

5 km north to Art Deco cafe culture Murwillumbah, via the scenic drive along beautiful Dunbible Creek.
15 minutes west to Uki. and to road to Nimbin
25 minutes south to Brunswick Heads or Pottsville Beaches.
45 minutes to Byron Bay.

Such a beautiful place to stay. Quiet, serene and secluded and close to nature. The property is stunning, spacious and has everything you need. Very kind and accomodating hosts who go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful trip.

Just a great little cottage located near Stokers Slinging area. Short drive into Murwillumbah ,& very close to heaps or rail trail spots to start your casual ride. Recommended......

Tweed Valley getaway

This is a lovely, secluded getaway, set in nature with beautiful views of the valley, yet still a short drive away from all the conveniences of Murwillumbah. The yurt is very spacious and the verandah with its' daybed and hammock is amazing.

Just perfect

Lovely country yurt with views forever. Quiet and peaceful, perfect for our 16 days. Could not fault and even the weather was kind. Kathy attentive if needed but unobtrusive otherwise. Would absolutely return again.

So far yet so close.

3 nights in a basic yet very comfortable yurt. Great location AMAZING view, friendly and warm owners, very comfortable bed, hammock, day bed and Weber on verandah. Relaxed totally. Sad to leave.

Lifetime memories made

I loved my stay here. Very peaceful. Beautiful location. Well equipped with all you need for a short stay. I loved sitting out by the firepit. My only bit of advice for anyone looking at staying here is to bring bottled water as the water from the taps isnt good for drinking... Thank you Kathy for letting me enjoy this piece of heaven.

Unique yurt experience

So relaxing lying in the hammock enjoying the view across the valley. The yurt is spacious, clean and comfortable. Cathy and Chris offer a tasty breakfast hamper as well for an extra cost. Internet reception is limited but that’s a good thing when you want to switch off! Close to bike trail.

If you're city...this is country! The highlight of your day will be talking to Cathy...walking her dog...every morning. Best conversation I've had in a long time. Nature rules!!

A place like this is better shared with someone special. 2 years in a row I spent my Birthday alone there. First stay was excellent as I got to have a conversation with Cathy...on her morning walk. This year ...place still as excellent as before. Sadly, missed chatting with Cathy...and found out people I thought were friends...aren't. Great place to meditate, chill...and basically get your head together. Love the views, the bird life and the cattle. LOVE country!! (Although a microwave would be nice...for bachelors?). Clothing optional is my get away situation. (Not when talking to the owner(s) though...lol). The car parked in the bushes in the Neighbour's paddock though...when viewed from the front balcony...was a definite deterrent but. Not sure who has binoculars or telescopes with the surrounding neighbors...but they'd need bloody good ones when I stay...lol. Top notch country accommodation...recommend it to all...that just want to get away. I like to leave places as clean as I find them...sometimes cleaner! This place is everything you want. Hopefully, if you forget to take away items or rubbish...the owners dispose of them without judgement. Feel free to edit my response. Cheers.

The views from the living spaces are a 180 degree visa of open paddock, regenerating rainforest and farm life. Wildlife is amazing.

この宿泊施設の特徴

This house is the circular design of a yurt where all living spaces extend from a central hexagonal room. The Dunbible yurt was built by the leading designer Brian Forbes who is a legend in Australian yurts. This is a truely unique living experience that merges conventional house design with the atmosphere and resonance. We are a stand alone solar system so it cannot power your electric bikes. However this off grid means you will experience what is possible and that is a functional home deep in the bush. As for the wildlife, over 40 varieties of birds were sighted here by the Tweed bird observers, and that was just in the day!
