Quiet Spot for a Getaway

Great spot for Mom and me to spend a couple evenings while exploring nature in the area. We both remarked how quiet it is. The beds were comfy, and the porch perfect for relaxing. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice place to stay. Close to the beach and quiet area.

Nice, clean home with plenty of cookware, towels, blankets, etc. Wifi was good. Enjoyed the inflatable Hot Tub and screened in porch. The host was very easy to work with and knowledgeable about the area. Would stay here again, for a quiet getaway.

Perfect getaway

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway. This little cottage in the woods was a perfect place for a little staycation away from home. We loved it. We will definitely be back!!

Great get-a-way.

Very clean, nicely furnished, everything you need is there. Host was very good with communication and addressing any needs we had. Get directions from host because your GPS will take you to a closed hunting road.

This was perfect for my girlfriend and I. The house was very clean, the kitchen was nice, the bathrooms were nice, she had plenty of towels and toiletries, and even had a bottle of wine waiting on us when we arrived. The day of check in she even called me and gave me clear directions to the property. We enjoyed the hot tub and the comfort of this property. I couldn't recommend enough for a private getaway.

Very roomy and love the hot tub

This house was great for our Keaton Beach stay. Since the weather was not cooperative and Keaton Beach is still very devastated from the hurricane, we took advantage of the space in the house and made meals, played games and enjoyed evenings in the hot tub. Communication with Sharon was excellent - she even offered a possible solution to a situation we had (not related to the rental). The few issues in the house were resolved quickly. We enjoyed the Fiddler Crab Festival in Steinhatchee with great vendors, food and excellent bands.

So peaceful!

My husband and I spent a few days here for our 22nd wedding anniversary and had the most peaceful couple of days we have had in a long time! Although the house wasn't as excluded as it looks in the photos, it was still very quiet and peaceful! We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and listening to the rain when it stormed while we played card games on the screened porch. I highly recommend this place for a quiet gettaway..

So peaceful and serene...

My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights for a quiet getaway for our 22nd wedding anniversary. The remote location in a wooded area along with the beautiful screened porch and hot tub provided us with a nice peaceful and relaxing getaway to escape reality for awhile. If you are looking for a nice low-key and relaxing place to stay to relieve some stress, I highly recommend the house in the woods. Thank you Sharon for everything.

Keaton Beach

We were up for a football game but also wanted to be a little closer to home so we decided on the Keaton Beach area. The host reached out and was very informative about directions and the current restoration and cleanup still taking place in Keaton Beach. The house was clean and well stocked. It was very quiet which is what we needed for a good night’s rest. We were also excited that cable was provided and we were able to watch football. Although we did not have time to use the hot tub the porch was very inviting and we would have thoroughly enjoyed relaxing out there if we had more time.

Exceptional Host

I stayed in the Perry are for a two-week work trip. Instead of the usual hotel, I opted for a place with laundry and a kitchen. The place is kind of “in the middle of nowhere” which made me nervous being a city person. As soon as I stepped inside though, I felt at east. Very cutely decorated, all the necessities one could want, a well-maintained hot tub in the enclosed screen porch, and fully stocked baskets of toiletries in each clean bathroom. The host was quick to respond with any questions I had, and I appreciated them checking in at one point asking if I needed anything from the store. Highly recommend.

House in the Woods

Very welcoming and comfortable home. We had been camping the week before and were going to continue to camp for several days after and just wanted a break in between - but not a hotel. I chose this place because it was halfway between the two and broke up an 8 hour drive. It was a very stormy day when we drove in and we were very relieved to get there out of the storm. Sharon had left a nice bottle of wine on the counter. The house is WAY off the main road and was a very bumpy ride over numerous potholes. We had to drive very slowly to avoid problems with our trailer. Hopefully that will be resolved in the future. We were worried about parking the trailer in the front yard as we were instructed to do because Perry received up to 6 inches of rain that day but it wasn't the least bit muddy. The grass is growing out on a hard rocky surface - it looks good and wasn't muddy. Other than that the visit was very nice and would go there again.
