Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fireplace: A gas fireplace is located in the living area.

Fire-pit: There is not a firepit.

Fishing: Bring your poles! Largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, and yellow perch can be found in East Twin Lake.

Golf (In Order of Distance): Garland Lodge & Resort offers four gorgeous golf courses, each suited for golfers of varying skill level.
Fountains: Garland's newly remodeled course features beautiful green, and fountains throughout.
Swampfire: A daunting course at first glance due to the visible water features on almost every hole, this course will challenge not only skill, but patience.
Monarch: Garland's championship course allows golfer's to test their swing on the large fairways and greens.
Reflections: With a course that winds through a beautiful hardwood forest, reflections will test one's accuracy and planning.

Grill: Yes! This is a natural gas grill that runs off of the home. No propane tanks are needed!

Privacy: As this rental is located within a resort, there are neighbors close by.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
Note: There are trails near the Garland Resort, please follow all local guidelines!

Televisions: Two 42" TVs. Downstairs TV has basic cable (no streaming). Upstairs TV is streaming only (no cable)

Towels: All bath and kitchen towels will be provided during your stay. Please bring beach towels with you!

Washer and Dryer: There is a washer and dryer for guest use

Lewiston Snowmobile Trails – Approximately 5-10 miles away, part of the local trail network in Montmorency County.
Huron National Forest Trails – About 15 miles away, offering a vast trail system for snowmobiling.
* Ice Fishing
East Twin Lake – About 5 miles away, a popular spot for ice fishing in the winter.
West Twin Lake – Approximately 6 miles away, another local option for ice fishing.
* Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing
Montmorency County Trails – Around 10 miles away, offering scenic trails for both cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
* Downhill Skiing
Hanson Hills Recreation Area – About 15-20 miles away, offering downhill skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.
