Welcome to The Captain’s House, a fabulous 300 year old stone villa on the Pelješac Peninsula, Dalmatia, Croatia.
The Captain’s House has been restored by local craftsmen to its original splendour, with stunning panoramic sea and island views and close to water-front bars and seafood restaurants.
A favourite spot for water enthusiasts, hikers and cyclists, this part of Croatia is not to be missed! Take the Ferry to nearby Korcula, take a drive to the nearby wineries... Or simply relax in the sun by the private pool.

enjoyable stay

we enjoyed our stay the Captain's House. It was secluded and provided a welcome place to return to after our tour of the peninsula and Korcula. We were able to spend time with our family at poolside and on the veranda.

Simply perfect

We truly loved this beautiful accommodation. Our group of seven was, to a person, delighted with views and ambience. In addition, the comfort, cleanliness, space, and the equipping of the kitchen, etc. was wonderful. Even though we were at the end of the season, we found enough facilities that were open. And the sea was perfect for swimming!

Lovely place to stay

We had a wonderful time in Viganj. The property was very well appointed and clean. The swimming pool was very welcome with the hot weather. Unfortunately my elderly parents struggled with the walk up the drive, and the lack of aircon in the living room. Otherwise a fantastic place that I would definitely recommend.

We had an incredible experience at the Captain’s House. The pictures almost don’t do it justice! We shared the house with another family and there was plenty of space for all of us. We most loved having a pool to enjoy in the mornings and evenings before and after our exploration of the country. The views are incredible from the upper patio at sunset and for coffee in the mornings. We took advantage of the grill and outside dining area. The house is away from the crowds, but close enough to get to whatever you need. Easy access to get across to the neighboring islands and the beaches and the most beautiful water in the world! The hosts were lovely and accommodating, would recommend staying here 10/10 times!

House with the view

Wir hatten einen herrlichen Aufenthalt im KapitänsHaus. der Weg vom Parkplatz zum Haus war ein wenig steil, aber nur kurz und jeden Schritt wert. Der Ausblick aus jedem einzelnen Schlafzimmerfenster, war atemberaubend. Das Haus so liebevoll hergerichtet und Poolhandtücher, Hamamtücher, Sonnenhüte, Spiele alles vorhanden.. Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten einen Nachmittag bis in die Nachr Sturm und Regen, aber wir haben uns sicher und aufgehoben gefühlt, wir konnten uns so schön beschäftigen. es gab keine lange Weile. Am Pool gab es noch einen großen Loungebereich. Zum Meer gelangt man gut über Stufen (ca 200m) es war eine wundervoller Aufenthalt Danke

We fell in love with The Captain's House after staying there as guests ourselves! It offers a little bit of everything; privacy when you want it, nearby amenities when you don't! The quaint village gave us great neighbours and plenty to enjoy when we are in town.
