The home stays cozy in winter and cool in summer thanks to a modern ductless heat pump. For peace of mind, the fireplace is available as a backup heat source during power outages.”

Guests are expected to respect neighbouring properties and the surrounding natural area at all times. Failure to follow the Town’s Noise Bylaw or Short-Term Rental Accommodations Bylaw may result in enforcement by the Town of Penetanguishene Bylaw Enforcement Division or the Ontario Provincial Police.

A cozy family retreat is a perfect name for this rental! It is was an excellent little getaway for my family of 6. We were so thrilled to be able to bring our dogs along too. There was plenty of room inside for all of us and lots of running space outside for the dogs. It was far enough off the road to feel that the dogs were safe at all times and to ensure our own privacy. The house itself was very clean, nicely decorated, and well supplied with everything we needed for our weekend stay. We look forward to returning for our third visit and next time taking advantage of the fire pit and barbecues out back. The host was excellent at communicating with us. Instructions for arrival and departure were very clear and very easy. Thank you for providing such a lovely home away from home!

Quiet winter cottage

I had gone for a winter retreat with the family. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay. The space in reality is better than in the pictures. There was ample bedding and space for sleeping. The kitchen was well equipped.The host was very quick and responsive to any queries or questions

Cosy, private, and peaceful getaway.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this peaceful country home with our extended family consisting of 3 children, 9 adults, and 2 dogs in town for a family reunion nearby. The layout of the place indoors and outdoors worked well for our family visit. The owner is personable and flexible and responds to questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Birthday Party

People came from Alberta, Sask, Ottawa, GTA, Collingwood, and Sudbury. We spent day at Vetta Nordic Spa (20 minutes away, recommend place). 2 nights at VRBO. The place is not very fancy, but cozy and perfect to reconnect with people from far away.The river was a nice backdrop, There were wild ducks also.Saturday dinner was 14 people. Lots of room for people to prepare dinner, eat and chat.

Nice stay

We came with a group of 15 in mid November and had a great time, the place is very nice and clean, great TV and internet. Lots of space and couches, chairs. Thought everything went fine. Communication was great, would stay again. Right by st.louis, moonstone for skiers, we all went for a hike. Thanks!

Awesome family retreat

I booked thia place, so I would have room to have all of my family together. I liked that there was skiing close by, which we did do on the one day. The place was comfortable with a lot of room to hang out together and enjoy each other's company. We had a puppy with us; it was really easy to watch him and not a lot for him to get into. I cannot wait to book it again next year!

Amazing property for both people and dogs alike!

A group of 10-12 people and a few dogs had high expectations of the place based on the listing, and it was even better than we had imagined! Entire property was completely fenced in (except for one edge, but it ended up being “fenced” by a nice big river) which ended up being perfect for keeping the dogs contained and letting them have their roam of the place off leash! A great fire pit for a late night campfire, big open yard for lots of yard games, and the house itself was beautiful, clean, and spacious! Our group had an amazing time here and the host was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay! Would recommend for families and big groups of friends (especially if you have dogs)!

When we entered the home we found lady bugs and spiders in the bathtub. We didn't pay too much attention to that thinking that is normal for a cottage. Everything looks fine until I didn't sleep well and got bitten by bed bugs. The nightmare started. This is my first time in life got bitten by bed bugs, very itch and long-lasting bite marks. I have anxiety when I went back home concerning may bring some bugs home. Now I am experiencing trouble with sleeping also wake up in the middle of night thinking bugs may move around me.

Internet went down after 1 day and never went back up. I came here to work from home with my friends so this was a major inconvenience for us. The property owner asked me to call their internet provider to troubleshoot the issue which I could not do because I don’t have access to their internet provider account. Who asks their customer to call their internet provider to get support? Actually unprofessional. They kept messaging me to do troubleshooting when I wasn’t even at the property and asked to give my phone number out to the internet provider as well. They told me to call the provider myself and that was the end of their help. Provider told me they couldn’t do anything because I don’t even know the account number, why would I? I don’t live there
