The home stays cozy in winter and cool in summer thanks to a modern ductless heat pump. For peace of mind, the fireplace is available as a backup heat source during power outages.”

The stay was very pleasant. The kitchen was very equipped, the covered BBQ and hot tub was very nice as well. The only thing I'd suggest is to add another shower to the washroom in the basement, as it has only the toilet. The overall experience was great and we'll definitely come back next winter for another skii and snowboarding weekend!

A cozy family retreat is a perfect name for this rental! It is was an excellent little getaway for my family of 6. We were so thrilled to be able to bring our dogs along too. There was plenty of room inside for all of us and lots of running space outside for the dogs. It was far enough off the road to feel that the dogs were safe at all times and to ensure our own privacy. The house itself was very clean, nicely decorated, and well supplied with everything we needed for our weekend stay. We look forward to returning for our third visit and next time taking advantage of the fire pit and barbecues out back. The host was excellent at communicating with us. Instructions for arrival and departure were very clear and very easy. Thank you for providing such a lovely home away from home!

Cosy, private, and peaceful getaway.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this peaceful country home with our extended family consisting of 3 children, 9 adults, and 2 dogs in town for a family reunion nearby. The layout of the place indoors and outdoors worked well for our family visit. The owner is personable and flexible and responds to questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet winter cottage

I had gone for a winter retreat with the family. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay. The space in reality is better than in the pictures. There was ample bedding and space for sleeping. The kitchen was well equipped.The host was very quick and responsive to any queries or questions

Awesome family retreat

I booked thia place, so I would have room to have all of my family together. I liked that there was skiing close by, which we did do on the one day. The place was comfortable with a lot of room to hang out together and enjoy each other's company. We had a puppy with us; it was really easy to watch him and not a lot for him to get into. I cannot wait to book it again next year!

Ignatius was a super responsive host, the house was very clean, and the area was very convenient to go to Vetta spa. However, it was not worth the money we paid. The hot tub (why we picked the place) had green and dirty water, the bedrooms lack proper heating (baseboard heating that doesn’t work great, in some rooms), and everything inside and outside of the place needs quite a bit of TLC, including claw marks in some of the rooms, stained walls and ceilings, drywall cut outs in some of the walls, cracked electrical outlets, the list goes on. It did not have blinds or curtains for the bedrooms, only sheers, and no face cloths or dish cloths. One bedroom doesn’t have a window at all and this leads to the second bathroom in the basement. While it did the trick for the two nights we stayed, I would not come back or recommend this house given the price, and am happy it was for a short duration only. This house is also too far for uber/skip the dishes so plan accordingly if you’re staying here (not the owners fault, just something for renters to note)

Hello Hayley Thank you for your detailed feedback. I’m glad to hear you found me responsive, the home clean, and the location convenient for your visit. That said, I’m genuinely sorry that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. The condition of the hot tub is especially concerning, as this is an important feature of the property. It is regularly maintained, but clearly something was not right during your stay, and I will be addressing this immediately to ensure it is resolved and does not happen again. I also appreciate you pointing out the concerns regarding heating, maintenance items, and amenities. Your comments about the baseboard heating, wall conditions, outlets, and lack of certain essentials are taken seriously. These are not the standards we aim to provide, and I will be reviewing each of these issues with our maintenance and housekeeping teams to make necessary improvements. Regarding the bedroom layout and window situation, I understand how that could be uncomfortable, and I will ensure this is more clearly communicated to future guests. Thank you again for your honest feedback—it helps us identify where we need to improve. Nice stay

We came with a group of 15 in mid November and had a great time, the place is very nice and clean, great TV and internet. Lots of space and couches, chairs. Thought everything went fine. Communication was great, would stay again. Right by st.louis, moonstone for skiers, we all went for a hike. Thanks!
