Our “Summer Rose Farmhouse" is the perfect family, couple or group getaway. No neighbours in sight, 15 minutes from Yarragon town for an ideal Gippsland location.
Atop 16 acres to enjoy endless views of the forests, wallabies, birds and feel connected to nature. Our "off-grid" connects you to simple pleasures while enjoying some modern necessities like the 55 inch smart TV, home office, WIFI and a modern Hamptons farmhouse decor.
The space
Cosy and affordable for couples, young families or large enough for a few families or friends. Our 3bdr farmhouse is made perfect by its simplicity and surrounding natural beauty.
The two story home on 16 acres with an upstairs balcony, outdoor play area and outdoor entertaining fire pit. Views in every direction that must be experienced to fully appreciate.

Home is well equip for young kids, plastic plates, cups, high chair and porta-cot available.
For the kids we have a swing set and some basic balls/yard games for them
to enjoy(though puddles, mud, picking daisy's etc may be just as fun). The property changes with the seasons, areas of wildflowers, seasonal dams, bush paths and rolling hills you are welcome to walk and explore.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole house and property, large area around the home is maintained.
Ask you respect the property and its boundaries. Only drive vehicles on the dedicated driveway. Welcome to explore property however suggest wear appropriate footwear and be conscious of wildlife particularly in warmer months.
Other things to note
No pets
Unfortunately no pets are allowed due to the abundance of wildlife, native bushland and neighbouring farm regions.
Off-Grid living
Entirely "off-grid" Summer Rose Farmhouse is solar powered, gas hot water, rain water plumbed and wood fire heated. The house is well equip for most stays, however please be consious as a rural off-grid property its a great lifestyle that also means things like; on a cold day you may need to start or keep the fire going and/or rug up, water is filtered but we boil our water before drinking it and on hot days (30+) we have evaporative cooling that is helped by closing blinds, opening windows and evening breezes.
The house is 6 star energy efficient and has many of the standard electrical appliances of a modern city home but some appliances we do not have or may not be suitable. It is very comfortable for most, but let us know.
Septic Tank
Please only use the provided "eco friendly" toilet paper, detergents and do not flush any other items. You may be liable for costs if any other items block the plumbing during your stay.
Rubbish
We provide wheelie bins to empty your rubbish. There is no roadside waste collection, excessive rubbish relative to the length of your stay (i.e. > 1 bin per fortnight) will result in an additional rubbish removal fee of $50 per bin load.
Be wildlife-aware
You'll likely see wallabies, wombats, lyre birds, frogs, echidnas, deer, and a stunning array of birdlife. Our protected ecosystem also includes foxes, spiders, mice, and snakes. Please be aware and respectful of our diverse wildlife when you head outside particularly if venturing far from the house. Children should not be left to walk outside and explore alone.
Mobile/ TV reception
Home Wifi is a 4G modem with Telstra Simcard. We often work from home with zoom calls etc however cannot control any Telstra failures or areas outside our control. Telstra generally has solid reception in all areas, other mobile providers you may need to be in the "right spot". We do NOT have free to air TV we just use the smart TV to access any channel apps you have subscriptions to.
