Do not stay here based on safety concerns/poor communication
I stayed at this location for 5 months and have many issues to note that occurred throughout my stay:
- the host requires you to communicate with the property manager rather than herself. The manager was very rude, abrasive and disrespectful to me on a regular basis. I communicated this to the host and the issue never was resolved
- there is a staircase which leads to the lower unit that is located inside the apartment in which the property manager resides in. I was very uncomfortable that they were able to access my apartment at any time because of the staircase/door. I wish this was properly noted in the description
- the walls are extremely thin, I was woken up by the sound of the below neighbours voice almost daily and disturbed by her sounds throughout the day. It was a massive disturbance to my daily life
- the property manager tried to micromanage how I lived in the unit (eg issue with me walking in the unit) and would send me rude texts at any point of the night to note this
- while getting ready for bed one evening the property manager screamed for me to shut up
- the host would often ignore my texts or respond days later. Her communication style was very unreliable
- the host sent an aggressive message one evening noting that she was aware that I had left the apartment and was monitoring my use of the lights. When I stated that I was very uncomfortable with her surveil-lancing/watching my whereabouts she never responded. I was concerned for my safety after this
