We have stayed at this house 2 years ago as well and overall a great house and location, especially for a larger group/family. I think they could "spruce" a few things up a bit to make it even nicer - main bath sink does not drain well, upstairs bathroom celing is peeling and clean up/organize the toys and beach chairs in the garage.

Beautiful home and large yard in nice neighborhood

The house was perfect for our family and the large yard had beautiful plantings and made for a great place to relax outside. The neighborhood made me want to move to the Cape! Very convenient location if wanting to visit other towns in Cape during your stay.

Family Time!

This place was perfect for our family! We had in-laws join us as well, plus our family of 5 and it fit everyone perfectly. It was very inviting and homey. The kids enjoyed playing in the spacious back yard with our dog. The house had everything we needed inside. Great kitchen for cooking at home and a large table to fit the entire family! Another great plus…a closet filled with games and puzzles! The kids were never bored and we all enjoyed a family game night after a long day of exploring.

Disappointing

The property and the house were not in good condition, the tv in family room did not work, AC on first floor did not work, ceiling fan in dining room did not work, the sink in the master bathroom was clogged, garage was unlocked and messy, and the patio chairs were moldy.

Decent older house in a good location

The house was good, with a decent location in a quiet neighborhood. We all had a comfortable stay and were satisfied overall. There were a few issues with the house that would be easily remedied: - There was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. Just something basic would have been nice. - Two of the four burners in the stove didn’t work. It was an old oven/stove, so it may just need to be replaced. - There was no welcome book in the house. Other properties I’ve stayed in have a home guide binder, with descriptions of things around the house (think Wi-Fi password, etc), and a local guide (good beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, etc). - The kitchen amenities were quite old. It could use new pots and pans. The rest of the house was fine. Very quiet neighborhood close to the water. Orleans is a cute little Cape town, centrally located within east driving distance of the outer cape and Hyannis. Another note, and not all specific to this house: taxes and fees are very high. They doubled the price of our stay. There were four separate taxes, an administrative fee, a service fee, a cleaning fee, and a mysterious “additional charge”. I understand this is the Cape in the prime season, but the fees seemed excessive.

Hi Laurence, thank you for staying with us, we would love to have you back! We are sorry you experienced issues with the stove while you were here, we are a local company and would have happily sent someone over to take a look at the stove for you! We will be taking a look at the kitchen supplies and see what we could update, thanks for the feedback. Another perk of staying with a local company we are always happy to suggest places in addition to what is in your welcome information. All of us live on the Cape and love sharing our favorites! Thank you for recognizing the fees are out of our control and happy you still stayed with us, we truly hope to host you again! We have many houses you can choose from if you return!
