Comfortable Rental

The small house was perfect for my wife and I when visiting relatives in the area. We utilized the kitchen every morning and slept comfortably. The loft at the top of the metal spiral staircase in the kitchen looks like it would be lots of fun for kids, but we did not use it. We also did not use the garage (manual open/close) or the side yard with fire pit (which had wood available for cash purchase). The tree covered slope in back gives a sense of privacy. Although the lake is across the street and other properties, there is NO view of the water or use (unless you bring or rent a boat trailer and drive to the public access site). The owner and the property manager proactively contacted us to replace the door lock batteries so that we did not get stuck outside.

Get what you pay for.

Overall it was a fine place to stay if you’re looking for an affordable place to sleep and have access to a full kitchen in the area. When we first arrived I was suprised as other reviews stated the lake was across the street, and was “lakeside” but our views were just neighbors houses and the campground parking area. In addition other reviews stated the cleanliness was amazing and having a young toddler that was very appealing to us. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. We were greeted with a dead bug on the stove along with other crumbs, the top of the inside of microwave had stuff on it and the fridge and freezer drawers were not wiped out well. There was a hair in the bathroom sink and the kitchen sink has stuff on the sides that we had to wash out. When I brought it up to the guest contact I was met with hostility and not a single apology was given, just told that the cleaning crew had already been there. I might have higher standards than others but it felt like the job was rushed. I was not expecting the have to wipe down so many things before being able to use them. The charcoal grill they stated they had in the listing pictures turned out to be electric - which isn’t a big deal, just not an accurate description of what we were told there’d be. Located on a semi busy street with the campground entrance being across the way but still relatively quiet.

Perfect for a small vacation

It was a very nice place to stay while visiting Chain O Lakes State Park. I stayed here with my father when we weren't hiking. The place is small, but efficient with its use of space. It was very clean, and the checkin/checkout processes were simple and easy.We were able to cook our own breakfast each morning, and relax on the couch and watch TV each evening. Churobusco had some nice restaurants and a nearby IGA to pick up groceries/supplies.All of the trees out front were redbuds and we happened to be staying while they were in bloom. It was beautiful!

Charming Getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Lake! The property is right across the street from the lake. We saw lots of small wildlife while on walks. The house had everything we needed. We will look for this property again next time we want to go to Blue Lake.Thank you for a charming getaway!

Rock Camp

Spent almost a week at the property for Spring break with my son. The house was perfect to come back and relax. I walked along the lake in the mornings which was a nice start to the day. The property owner was very easy to contact and helpful, which makes a vacation relaxing. Thank you!

Perfect Getaway

This place was perfect for us. The house was adorable and had everything we needed. The town of Churobusco was sweet and there were groceries close by and fun things to do! We enjoyed hikes, thrift store shopping, and exploring the Botanical Gardens in Fort Wayne. We will definitely come back!

Very nice

The stay was fantastic, the one caveat I would say is that the sofa bed is really only good for small children, which we don't have.

Great Vibes!

This place was fantastic! It was so clean and well-appointed. We brought our kayaks to fish the nearby lakes, so having the garage and carport was a huge help. The location was convenient to lots of things to do. We felt great staying here. 100% would come back!

Nice getaway place

We stayed for 4 nights here, enjoyed hiking at various places within a short driving distance. Spent one day going to small towns and shopping at Amish establishments. The house was very clean, good parking, perfect for our needs!

Beautiful home!

We had a fantastic time! We went to Churubusco to go to the turtle festival! The house was beautiful and the owner was very responsive with questions. We plan to come back again next year and will, hopefully, be able to book the house again!
