The property was in great shape and loved the retro feel to it. Although the handle to the fridge was missing it did not impede our ability to open it up. Beds were comfy! Only feedback we have is due to the humidity of San Antonio, it may be good to have some moisture absorbers around the house. There was a mildew smell in the air but that may have been due to the recent rains. Also, the creamers had coagulated so those may need to be changed out more frequently.Overall a great stay!

Went well, some things needed fixing. Games had missing pieces, did not look like the sheets hadbeen thoroughly cleaned so i washed them when we got there. Look was great, couldnt enjot hot tub at night. Was no light out there.

Wonderful!

Perfect place for my family to stay while we visit family there. Clean and tidy with a nice location to get to spots in San Antonio with ease. Nice communication with the owner and will use again!

Charming

We had a great time staying at this place. The vibe and character of this place is unmatched. We were very comfortable and very much enjoyed our time there. We appreciated all of the amenities the place offers, the beautiful back yard with the hot tub and seating around the chiminea. We had fun playing the arcade and watching a movie in the drive in themed living room. It was so fun. It's in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. I thought, since it was a duplex, that we would have noise or parking issues with the people renting the other side but there were no issues at all. It was a wonderful asset to making our trip interesting and memorable. We will definitely book again.

Quick Spring Break Getaway

Our family did a quick trip to SA from Dallas and we drove in with our dog and this place was perfect for us. Close to everything… the zoo, DoSeum, Witte, Riverwalk so many local attractions. Shops and restaurants were super close as well. We forgot a few items at home and there was a Target & Walmart near by. Our family enjoyed the video games and the hot tub and making s’mores in the fire pit. We were able to pack a lot in for our short stay! We’ll definitely be back!

Girl’s weekend Birthday Celebration

This property is in a quiet neighborhood and is decorated with every detail in mind. We absolutely loved this rental. We played Pac-Man on the arcade in the living room and had a blast, connected our phone play list to the retro victrola (jukebox) played games at the diner style kitchen table, spent time in the hot tub, although we didn’t use the tv’s it was cool that the wall was painted with cars as if you were at a drive in, we did travel with 1 dog and he enjoyed the back yard which has a breakfast table, bar and chiminea area with rocking chairs. You won’t be disappointed!

Cute rental

The rental was as described. My kids loved the popcorn maker and hot tub. The shower was very challenging. It’s really the only reason I wouldn’t rent here again. Maybe having a different curtain setup would be better. I’d also add blackout curtains for the bedrooms. The outdoor light is challenging if you are used to a dark room for sleeping. The host was very good and was quick to answer questions. He even sent us more towels when we requested them. Overall a good affordable rental.

Christmas with the Family

My wife and I live in CO; my family lives in San Antonio. We had a very specific reason for coming to SA at this time...to cook our family's traditional Christmas dinner. We brought our 19-month old Golden Retriever with us. Growing up in SA, I am quite familiar with the city.This property provided us with everything we needed to make our holiday perfect! There was plenty of room for the two of us and our dog. The yard gave out dog enough room to stretch his legs and burn off energy. The yard was very secure as well.The kitchen was nicely stocked. And we were able to move furniture around in the living room to accommodate all 7 adults for Christmas dinner.We were probably doing more intense cooking than the average vacationer so full disclosure...there isn't a dishwasher. But that did NOT take away from the pleasantness of the accommodations.The property is well located with shopping nearby and easy access to downtown, the River Walk, the Alamo, and more.Simply put, this property was very comfortable and roomy; attractively decorated with a little fun and whimsy. And it was in great shape.Definitely would stay here again!

AMAZING!!

We had the most amazing stay! My mother appreciated the Retro feel, of course the retro arcade games were during my time, but my grandson enjoyed playing them. The jacuzzi and the fire pit were an awesome addition to the experience. We've never done the whole s'mores thing, and WE DID IT! I posted pics on my Facebook page, and everyone really enjoyed them. Last but not least. Our entire family was welcomed (our pets: Sophia (chihuahua) & Sir Lavante (chow). We were there for the Lakers and Spurs game. memorable experience and we visited El Mercado. Thank you for the wonderful experience and memories.

Blast from the past

We absolutely loved this house. It was very fun and close to alot of the places we had planned to visit. Beds were very comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. I would suggest to bring beach towels for the hot tub though.. not enough towels in the house for our stay.. but we went and bought laundry detergent and just washed towels everyday... we will definitely stay again..

What a hidden gem.... this property was one of the highlights of our vacation!! Everything was perfect from the location to attractions, private/ quiet backyard with multiple seating options, outdoor fire pit, hot tub, sufficient kitchen utensils and cooking accessories, very comfortable beds, and the fun decor/added entertainment made for a super memorable vacation for our whole family!!

Great Place!

Vintage 1950 motif throughout, and a very nice backyard. A lot of attention to detail. Convenient location to the River Walk. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay is here.

Great Place!

Stayed here with my husband and our best friends for my birthday weekend. Place was soo cute! Loved the hot tub and the backyard, such a chill relaxing place. Loved everything about our stay!

Great place and location

Really enjoyed our stay! Perfect location to the riverwalk and the Frost Bank Center. The hot tub was nice and so was the vibe of the house. Only downfall was we wished there were curtains on the windows for a little more privacy and to block the sun in the mornings, but other than that we really enjoyed our stay!

Family Time

We were in San Antonio to spend time with our extended family, as well as to attend a baby shower for my son and daughter-in-law. The location worked out well for us as we were in the middle between the activities to the north of San Antonio, as well as those of downtown and the Riverwalk. Our 13-year-old picked this VRBO because it looked like fun! Something unique! We love the retro look. We enjoyed using the table in the.”diner”so cute! We enjoyed playing those early retro games on the tabletop gaming station. We also had one night that we had an opportunity to use the hot tub and it was easy to use and very relaxing! Honestly, the only thing I would recommend would be to put some kind of nonslip mat in the bathtub as getting in and out, even for our teenager,was a bit dangerous. It is extremely slippery. Thank you again for a wonderful stay and Excellent communication.

Summer trip with our grandson

What a wonderful little house!! It was perfect for our family. We loved everything from the retro decor to the king beds (which were extremely comfortable by the way) to the hot tub in the evening! We do not have one bad thing to say about this rental! Location was close enough to everything we wanted to do and far enough that we had some nice quiet in the evenings to wind down from our day. Just perfect!!
