We have recently returned from a wonderful family holiday in Bali, where we stayed at Villa Stella in Sanur, and I can honestly say it is the best accommodation we have ever experienced.
Having previously stayed in villas across both Thailand and Europe, we thought we had a good benchmark, but Villa Stella exceeded all expectations. In fact, the photos on the website don't do the property justice. The villa itself is stunning, immaculate, and beautifully maintained, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional service provided by the Cool Bali Villas team.
Every member of staff was incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble. A special mention must go to Gusti, who surprised our son with a birthday cake during our stay to celebrate his 18th birthday. It was a thoughtful gesture that was greatly appreciated by all of us, and the cake was delicious too!
From the moment we landed, everything was seamless. We were collected from the airport by Kadek, who immediately made us feel welcome. We also booked him for several day trips around the island. The full-day tours typically cost between £30 and £40, which represented excellent value. Kadek was knowledgeable, reliable, and a pleasure to spend time with. Given the relatively low wages in Bali, we were more than happy to leave generous tips for the outstanding service we received.
Would I recommend booking a villa through Cool Bali Villas? Absolutely. Don't waste any time thinking about it, just book. The service, accommodation, and overall experience were first-class from start to finish.
The location of Villa Stella is another major advantage. It's just a five-minute walk from Sanur's main street, which is packed with excellent restaurants, cafés, and shops. The beach is only six or seven minutes away and offers several lovely beachfront restaurants, along with a beautiful 5km promenade that's perfect for a morning stroll or evening walk.
We also visited Seminyak and Kuta during our stay, but we found that Sanur had everything we could have wanted, without the hustle and bustle of the larger resort towns. It offers a much more relaxed and authentic atmosphere.
If you're looking for vibrant nightlife and late-night partying, Sanur may not be the destination for you. However, if you want to relax, unwind, and enjoy a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings, then Sanur is absolutely perfect.
We would not hesitate to return to Villa Stella and would highly recommend both the villa and Cool Bali Villas to anyone planning a trip to Bal
