Overall a great house and lots of space. Kitchen had lots of big bowls and serving platters as well as lots of things needed to host a party. Big living room and the dining table sat more than 14. Beds very comfortable. Back patio was unbelievable--super big, a table with chairs, fire pit with chairs and a heater--needed on the cold nights. Bathrooms were super cool and beautiful. Great place to stay when wedding is at Airlie. We also rented the house that can go with this one and it is a 5 min walk away. My family loved it.

The house overall feels like people live there and just left for us to use it for the weekend. Huge disconnect in design and renovation. Modern bathrooms, but the upstairs shower does not drain correctly. Outdoor table used for dining room table, weird glitter coffee table in the living room with older style furniture. Just weird decor. No consistency in bedding and comfort. Too many personal items, photos, things in closets, and open/used boxed food left. Not very clean overall. There was a dirty platter left on the dining room table, food in the kitchen cabinets. Small handwritten notes everywhere (should by typed and spell checked). Again, it feels like someone left quickly so we could stay there.

Great weekend getaway

The space was perfect for our group getaway! Plenty of space to cook and eat, close to activities we were interested in, and plenty of beds to sleep all of our guests.

Great place to stay

The house is ideal for families or a group of friends. The house has ample bedrooms and bathrooms. The house has a very nice outside area with a fire pit that is great during the fall season.

Fantastic host - solid house for many people

Communication with the host was excellent and an early check in was incredibly helpful - the house served its purpose exactly as expected - hosting friends for the weekend with easy access to the countryside of VA.

Wedding Weekend

We used the house for our bridal party to stay for my wedding weekend. The house was great and the backyard was beautiful and so accommodating of our guests. The house was less than 15 minutes from our venue location and it was the perfect place for our friends and family to enjoy! Sue was an amazing host as well, very communicative and accommodating of my asks and questions. Thank you so much!

Great wedding weekend

We were in town for my daughter’s wedding. The wedding was held at the Inn at Vint Hill. Easy drive back and forth. The house was perfect for our stay. The outdoor patio area was exactly what we were looking for. The house was spacious and accommodated all our needs. Our host was responsive and very generous. Would recommend this house to anyone looking.

Great house with friendly owners

We rented this house for the weekend for my family and friends whobwere in town for my brothers wedding. The house is very cozy, bathrooms are updated (master bath has a big waterfall head and heat lamps in the ceiling!) and the owners were very nice and easy to talk to. Our only ding was the pet fee online says $75 a night but it was actually much more expensive. I will note that we ended up having to notify the owner only hours before our arrival that we had to bring our pup because of dogsitter issues but the fee was more expensive then what was listed online. Other then that the house is great and the owners were very accommodating. The outdoor kitchen area is awesome! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Cape Cod get away

This is a beautiful home in a lovely location. We were there over Christmas and the owners had put up a tree and Christmas lights for us. The grounds are so lovely that we wished we could spend time there in the summer around the great fire pit.

Great place for family stay

House was clean, bigger than it looks, with lots of beds. Beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were high quality. Kitchen had all the essentials. Backyard has a great space for entertaining.

Country Charm

Lovely home in the country with accommodations that met our needs for family gathering that included age ranges between 98 and 1 year. AC worked perfectly during hot and humid summer days. Early morning and evening patio time were the best.

Good property but need to be careful with the extra bill after checkout

The property is well maintained. Was informed by the owner to clean the grill thoroughly else we will incur the cleaning fee. We kept it in a better shape than what we received. After the checkout, we received a bill for many items including broken clock, damaged patio cover, moving furniture (coffee table was moved little bit), turning of the gas fireplace which we thought was a fire hazard. Negotiated with the owner for the final settlement, but the bill was very high and felt like we received bill for damages that were not true. Please take a video/pic proof before you check-in and check-out.

The International Gold Cup

Owner advertised this house as pet-friendly. Owner notified us two weeks before our stay that she changed her mind and was not allowing dogs. We had to wash all dishes before we used them. The house had plenty of room for everyone.

Idyllic Retreat for a Wedding Rehearsal Brunch

Pros: Lovely setting for an outdoor event with rose bushes in full bloom. Far enough away from the City, and rural enough for us to spy 2 wandering deer in the backyard. Plenty indoor space to accommodate 9 adults with room for more. This VRBO is the hosts' main home, so many closets are locked throughout. The entire refrigerator was empty, so space available for our goods. Do not forget the basics, like salt, foil and olive oil. There is a shared cabinet, but no guarantees. for a party of 45 people, we rented 24 chairs from Sammy's Rentals. We supplied our own disposable silverware, plates and glasses for the party. We also used platters and serving bowls from the house. The 14-person table was ideal for the buffet and handy for our family after the party. Cons: I upstairs toilet sticking, slow to flush At times, shower water not hot enough Hosts were quick to respond and accessible to remedy issues. Thank you, Sue & Gerry!

Wonderful Stay!

This is a great property both inside and outside. The owner was very welcoming and met us upon arrival. He showed us everything throughout the house and pointed all of the amenities the property has to offer. The yard is spacious with ample seating areas, a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen.

Beautiful House and Property

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful inside and out, with sturdy and comfortable furniture throughout, a perfect and well-equipped kitchen, a wonderful dining table that can seat more than 12 comfortably, 4 gorgeous bathrooms, and very comfortable bedrooms. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, each with a "Jack and Jill" bathroom that can be accessed via the main part of the house. Upstairs there are three bedrooms - one with two queen beds and bathroom, one with two queen beds, and one with two twin beds plus three comfortable twin-size cots (and very little natural light - perfect for our friend who prefers very dark bedrooms). There is also one full hall bathroom upstairs. There was a photo of a bunk bed that wasn't in the house - it might have been removed after the photo was posted. The outside is also wonderful, with a beautiful outside kitchen area with string lights, plenty of seating, and a separate firepit area that was very comfortable. And there was an amazing amount of firewood for the firepit! There's also plenty of room in the driveway - you could probably park 8 cars there without double-parking anybody. We hope to book this wonderful house again, maybe next summer. Loved it!!

We bought this home because it's close to the town of Warrenton...in the city limits with the county seat and court house a few blocks away. Everything is very close for shopping...you have lots of space in both the front and back yards for entertaining on the new patio and outdoor kitchen as well at the new fire pit.
