We have been holidaying in the Granite Belt for more than 60 years. Originally from Brisbane, Andrea and Andrew purchased Mountain Park at Dalveen more than 20 years ago with the aim of living in an area that had clean air, lovely scenery and 4 distinct seasons. We are now developing the property so that others can also enjoy what the Granite Belt has to offer. We enjoy living in a lovely place.

Galah Cottage @ Mountain Park is in granite country. The rock formations and waterfalls are wonderful and you can see forever from the hilltops. Queensland's Granite Belt is known for its wineries but it also has a significant fruit and vegetable industry. Fruit, jams, wine, local craft beer, cheese and a whole host of products are available right across the region.

Galah Cottage @ Mountain Park is just outside Dalveen in the Granite Belt. It's the first hamlet you come when travelling from Brisbane so it's well located if you're travelling from Brisbane in the early evening. Mountain Park is a 1,085ha cattle property nearly 1,000m up in Queensland's high country. It can get cold at any time of the year and, yes, it does snow occasionally although you have to be very lucky to see it. While we have a bitumen road to the front gate and are only 8mins from the nearest coffee shop, even less to the nearest winery and just 20mins from Woolworths and IGA, we are still relatively secluded. The walks are great, the wineries and cafes are worth the effort, and the wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas, wonderful birds and the brilliant night skies make it a magical place.
